WHAT
DO
WE
NEED
ZEN
Teachings
from
a
Cloud
WIEN 2011
For
the
Self,
what
all
others
may
call
spirit,
we
need
silence.
For
the
Energy,
what
all
others
may
call
soul,
we
need
to
breath
well,
in
a
natural
and
spontaneous
way.
For
the
body,
for
everybody
call
body
what
we
are
taking
for
granted
that
it
is
the
body,
we
need
stretching.
For
the
person,
a
delicate
category
that
everybody
seems
to
know,
we
need
action
in
non- action
and
non-action
in
action.
Self,
Energy,
Body,
and
Person
are
four
different
entities
in
one.
Two
more,
each
one
one
of
a
kind,
is
the
Consciousness
and
the
Intellect.
2
Consciousness
and
Intellect
operate,
respectively,
with
the
Soul
and
with
the
Self.
The
dynamism
of
Consciousness
is
projected
in
us
by
the
Intuition,
a
direct
mail
from
the
universal
principles
archives,
with
which
we
are
constantly
in
touch
and
from
which
we
receive
knowledge
and
information
about
what
the
sages
of
all
times
were
doing.
On
the
other
hand,
the
Intellect
operates
by
Reason,
the
Golden
Measure
of
all
things.
Then
we
have
on
the
table
six
different
entities:
Consciousness,
Intellect,
Self,
Soul,
Body
and
the
Person.
We
are
this
entire
package
of
six
ones
entities
taken
together.

The
wise
men
of
the
past
have
thought
in
a
kind
of
a
logical
model
to
transmit
this
knowledge
to
the
future
generations
of
seekers.
This
logical
model
is
the
die,
one
of
the
most
ancient
tools
of
wisdom.
One
die
is
a
wonderful
metaphor
of
what
we
are.
Everybody
in
the
world
is
capable
to
understand
that
a
point
is
the
number
one,
and
that
two
points
are
the
representation
of
the
number
two.
So,
the
same
occurs
with
the
three,
the
four,
the
five
and
the
six
points.
Each
one
represents
an
entity:

Person

Then,
whenever
you
look
at
a
die,
you
would
see
your
own
cosmic
and
ontological
dimension.
Throw
it
on
a
plane
surface:
the
number
you
see
at
the
top
is
the
Reality:
it
is
this
what
it
is
taken
in
account
right
now!
Reality
is
always
winning!
Or,
lets
say,
that
what
is
always
winning
is
Reality
itself!
Under
it,
below,
there
is
the
secret
counterpart
of
Reality
the
Mystery.
From
all
other
sides,
everybody
might
see
a
certain
number,
but
this
number
is
only
an
opinion,
it
is
a
perspective,
an
image
that,
actually,
is
not
real!
6
Every opposite side is complementary one to the other, and both added, sum always seven:
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
This
is
like
the
Truth:
always
present
but
at
the
same
time,
absent
it
is
not
shown!
Take
carefully
the
die
as
an
important
tool
of
our
secret
composition.
Use
it
.
.
.
Contemplate
it
.
.
.
There
is
something
to
learn
every
time
when
it
is
thrown
on
the
table!
7
It
is
strange
enough
not
to
have
on
that
list
the
common
word
called
mind.
There
is
no
mind
in
our
Self.
The
Self
has
no
Mind.
We
all,
we
do
not
have
mind
at
all
.
.
.
Mind
is
a
kind
of
a
cosmic
archive
and
at
the
same
time
is
a
power.
Mind
could
easily
influence
us
with
other
ones
thoughts,
penetrate
us
with
other
ones
desires,
pushes
us
to
operate
with
other
ones
intentions.
So,
be
aware
of
the
Mind!
Try
to
think
not!
Try
to
separate
your
own
thoughts,
if
any,
from
the
other
ones
thoughts!
Try
to
discern
if
a
desire
comes
from
inside,
or
from
outside.
8
Try
to
understand
if
an
intention
comes
from
your
inner
Self,
and
decline
all
intention
coming
from
outside!
The
Mind
is
a
kind
of
a
memory,
it
is
the
Universal
Memory
of
all
what
was
thought,
felt
and
done
since
men
were
been
able
to
think,
to
feel
and
to
make
and
operate
with
things.
What
things
really
are?
A
good
question!
Things
are
of
three
kinds:
1. Beings
2. Facts
3. Objects
9
Then,
when
we
are
involved
with
things,
those
ones
might
easily
be
facts,
or
beings,
or
even
objects.
We
are
accustomed
to
manipulate
things,
like
a
juggler
who
is
throwing
in
the
air
multiple
balls.
But,
sadly
enough,
it
is
the
Mind,
which
then
is
manipulating
us,
like
a
child
playing
with
soap
bubbles!
Be
alert!
Do
not
pay
attention
at
the
other
ones
thoughts!
Be
considerate
with
other
feelings
but
do
not
take
it
in
your
account!
Be
careful
with
your
own
deeds,
and
dearly
surpass
the
other
ones
actions.
10
A
person
who
is
clear,
calm,
steady
and
alert
is
like
a
mountain
where
everybody
has
to
come,
and
where
everybody
finds
a
spring
of
clear
water
to
drink
when
thirsty.
Be
a
source
of
silent
music
and
with
it,
all
your
words
shall
become
poetry.
Be
confident
that
everything
is
written
down
and
in
this
secret
text
we
are
all
called
to
write
and
sign
our
own
story
.
.
.
Return
to
yourself
.
.
.
Remain
in
the
middle
.
.
.
And
from
that
inner
center
project
yourself
beyond
the
infinite
and
afterwards,
return,
one
more
time,
to
your
middle
.
.
.
Become
indestructible
by
unifying
your
beginning
with
your
end
.
.
.
