America! America! God shed His grace on thee, And crown thy good with brotherhood, From sea to shining sea!

Youth Worker and Servant and Other things Recruitment Luncheon Extravaganza ATTENTION! On July 10 we will be having a lunch for all current and prospective workers in the children's and youth ministries. This lunch will take place right after second service and the food will be provided. During this lunch a vision for these ministries will be outlined as we approach this fall. Also, there will be a time in which detailed explanations will be offered for areas where servants are needed to help. While there will be a lot to cover, it will be our goal to end this time by 1:30pm. Please RSVP to this by calling the church office, emailing Glen at glenshady@live.com, or through Facebook. If you think there is one chance in a million that God wants you serving with the kids or teens, you need to be at this lunch.

Our Prayer Chain Ministry There is a new policy for our prayer chain. We will send "prayer needs" out only once per day, and not until 3 p.m. That way we will not be making multiple calls during the day. Please be understanding in this matter!

A Note from brAd

God is doing BIG THINGS through Fifth Avenue. In the past few weeks, we have had a group travel to Missouri to help with disaster relief that served thousands. During VBS, God used many servants to bag food which would provide a meal to over 28,000 children in Haiti. Three have given their lives to the Lord through Christian baptism in the last month, most recently Sunday as Anna Hendricks was immersed. God is rising up new faces to be a part of ministry in this place. Many people are discovering FACC and during this first month of summer, we had over 190 in attendance three out of four Sundays. The fruit of everyones labor is coming to fruition, all because God is good! With growth, that means new opportunity for more involvement and service. We have many needs at FACC for volunteers. Have you found your niche? If not contact Brad for a listing of possible ministry you might perform. We currently have a need for more Sunday school classes but the need is great for good teachers. I know we have capable disciples who can teach. We have a need for a 20-30 year old class and a 31-49 year old class. Please begin praying to the Lord of the Harvest that this need will be met this summer. This past Sunday I spoke on the theme of DREAM. I asked you to recognize that you are NEVER TO OLD TO DREAM. No matter what your age, you still have something to offer. What can you dream up for FACC? Think about it! Pray about it! Why not join us on Wednesday nights as we learn about Making the rest of your life the best of your life? This week, I will speak on the theme of ADAPT. Everyone seems to be transitioning their way through life and life can be rather unsettling. I cant wait to share with you about how to deal with these moments in life. Allow me to leave you with this scripture. Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him and He will make your paths straight. I pray that you will daily seek Gods direction for your life. He has a plan! In His Service, Brad Seevers, Eph. 3:20-21.

A Wonderful Week of VBS

Prayer Concerns

This past week we had Vacation Bible School at the church and it was an absolute blast. God blessed us with 41 different kids throughout the week, and an average of 28 per night. Much more importantly, we got to see night in and night out that the kids were excited to learn about the Bible. They can now tell you what gratitude, compassion, forgiveness, grace, and faithfulness mean. Each of them can explain that a parable is an "earthly story with a Heavenly meaning." We challenged the kids to not only learn their Bible stories, but to bring friends and a Bible every night and they responded amazingly. All in all, this group of kids blew us away with their wonderful behavior, positive attitudes, and willingness to be taught. The kids were not the only factors in making the week great. I would like to thank every person who helped with VBS this year, whether it was kitchen duty, singing, teaching, or just sitting in with the kids and having fun with them. The week went incredibly smoothly, and it was not by accident that the kids were responding so well to what we were doing. Each of you should be proud of how our church was represented through these servants. Our desire with VBS is that it is not just one week a year that we will see many kids. We hope to see this week lead to seeing new kids every single Sunday and Wednesday at the church. In order to effectively follow-up with these kids and families and draw them into our church, we are still praying for more workers who are excited to share Jesus' love and truth with these little ones. If you think that we are praying for you in this regard, please schedule a time to talk with me at the church. -Glen Shady
