Excavator 360 above 10 tonnes

Course duration: 10 days No. of delegates: Maximum 4 Who should take this course: Anyone required to operate 360 Degree Excavators above 10 Tonnes Objectives: On successful completion of the course the candidate will be able to: State the names of components and the purpose and use of all controls and gauges Use the operators handbook and other relevant information Complete pre-use and running checks Set the excavator for site and road travel Travel over different terrain including rough undulating ground and substantial inclines Manoeuvre in confined areas using forward and reverse direction Set the machine to excavate Excavate below ground level on a variety of excavations in different ground types Place spoil into various sizes of vehicles/hoppers Grade, spread and level differing types of materials Remove and re-attach buckets Place the excavator in an out of service condition Explain the loading and unload procedures on and off a transporter

NVQ Requirements: Successful completion of the experienced workers assessment or novice training will lead to the award of a CPCS Trained Operator Card (red). This card is valid for two years and in that time the operator is expected to complete the required NVQ units, upon completion the operator will be able to apply for a CPCS Competent Card (Blue). Operator documentation associated with the attachment, test and thorough examination certificates, method statements, duties charts etc. 4. Pre-use and running checks on host machine as required for the connection and use of the attachment. 5. How to manoeuvre the machine into recommended position for connecting the attachment. 6. How to configure the machine to accept the attachment. 7. How to recognise and respond to given signals and instructions. 8. How to connect the attachment in accordance with manufacturers instructions. 9. Inspect and confirm connecting mechanisms. 10. Carry out pre-use and running checks for the attachment. 11. How to operate the attachment through all cycles within safety parameters. 12. Manoeuvre with the attachment fitted, progressing to confined spaces. 13.
