About the Conference In globally competitive business environment, quality & reliability are the two key drivers for maximizing market penetration and customer loyalty. The application of quality & reliability engineering has enabled industries to produce (deliver) high quality products (services) at low cost. The development in quality & reliability engineering disciplines were phenomenal in the recent past and will continue to inspire the imaginations of researchers as well as practitioners in future. This conference will provide a common platform between universities, research institutions and industry for sharing knowledge and experiences on recent trends and future directions of quality, reliability and related fields.

Objectives The objectives of the conference are to facilitate sharing of: Research based knowledge related to quality control, quality management, process performance modelling and reliability engineering among academicians & practitioners. Case studies and novel applications of statistical tools and techniques in quality and reliability engineering

Call for Papers Papers are invited from practitioners and academicians. The papers should broadly address one of the conference topics or a related area. The abstract not exceeding 150 words in MS word need to be mailed to icqre2011@isibang.ac.in latest by 31 August 2011. The abstract must include paper title, author name(s), affiliation(s) and contact details. The abstracts will be peer reviewed and selected papers will be published in the conference proceedings

Important Dates Last date for submitting of abstracts: 31 August 2011 Notification of acceptance of abstract: 20 September 2011 Last date for submitting of full paper: 20 October 2011 Registration Fee: Rs. 3000 The registration fee includes conference kit, lunch, tea / coffee and snacks. The registration fee is to be paid through demand draft in favour of Indian Statistical Institute payable at Bangalore
