1.1 Using the manual

This manual provides servicing information for the UA-66 Urine Chemistry Analyzer. The instrument may be operated at 110VAC 50/60Hz or 220VAC 50/60Hz.

1.2

Instrument Description

The UA-66 Urine Analyzer is a semi-automated, bench top instrument designed to read U-11 Urine Reagent Strip for urinalysis. The instrument is initially configured to read U-11 Para. Reagent Strips. U-11 Para. Reagent Strips are also qualified for use. The instrument use a high-light white LED as the light source to illuminate the reacted pads, and use 3 photoelectric sensor at 470nm, 540nm and 625nm to read the reflectance from the reacted pads. All the control signals and analog I/Os is processed directly by a Hitachi H8S/2350 MPU. This makes the instrument simple and reliable. The instrument uses a Flash ROM as system non-volatile memory to store the system software, user options and test reports. System software can be upgraded using a personal computer via RS-232C port. Up to 1000 test reports can be stored in the instrument. The reports can be recalled via date and sample No. Reports may be sent to the internal micro thermal printer.
