Overview of Installation Sequence

1. Choose a Windows client or Unix workstation or install from a Network Server after creating an Installation point to install Crystal Reports XIR2. 2. Install Crystal Reports XIR2 Integration piece. Only if not installing Business Objects Enterprise on this same machine. The integration piece will detect what you have installed and apply what is required depending on if Crystal Reports and/or Business Objects Enterprise is installed. 3. Enable Access to Required JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Files. After you install the integration kit, you must copy JAR modules from your EnterpriseOne system to this location. Refer to the JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Tools Release 8.9x Business Objects XI R2 Installation and Configuration for Microsoft Windows/Unix guide. See E1: CRYSTAL10/XIR2: Enabling Access to Required JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Files NOTE: 656080.1 E1: CRYSTAL10/XIR2: Enabling Access to Required JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Files [ID 656080.1] Modified 23-FEB-2010 Type PROBLEM Status PUBLISHED

JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Tools - Version: 8.96 to 8.98 - Release: 8.96 to 8.98 Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms
Our JDE integration kit uses JAR files to connect to and work against the EnterpriseOne servers in Crystal 10/XIR2 integration. If you do not have the correct jar files when trying to create a new connection to JD Edwards EnterpriseOne, after entering the Host, Port, Environment, User, Password and Role, the system will hang.

Solution
Please see Section "Enabling Access to Required JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Files" in the "EnterpriseOne Tools Tools Release Crystal Reports XIR2 & Business Objects XIR2 Installation and Configuration" guide. You must copy the required jar files for your tools release to this directory \Business Objects 11.5 Integration Kit\PeopleSoft\JarDir\default\PeopleSoft or JD Edwards. The jar files are also supplied on the JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Business Objects & Crystal Reports Integration CD in the X:\E1_Jars directory. Whenever you apply an update to an existing JD Edwards EnterpriseOne installation, ensure that you obtain and use the newest version of these jar files. Note: Crystal Reports and Business Objects Enterprise XIR2 and 10 were not tested against EnterpriseOne 9.0 and therefore NOT SUPPPORTED. You would use the same jar files as 8.98 to enable "JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Authentication" for EnterpriseOne 9.0. 8.98 jar files from the E898/system/classes directory: Base_JAR.jar commons-httpclient-3.0.jar commons-logging.jar

JdeNet_JAR.jar jmxremote.jar jmxremote_optional.jar jmxri.jar log4j.jar ManagementAgent_JAR.jar System_JAR.jar xmlparserv2.jar 8.97 jar files from the E897/system/classes directory: Base_JAR.jar commons-httpclient-3.0.jar commons-logging.jar JdeNet_JAR.jar jmxremote.jar jmxremote_optional.jar jmxri.jar log4j.jar ManagementAgent_JAR.jar System_JAR.jar xmlparserv.jar* 8.96 jar files from the E896/system/classes directory: System_JAR.jar log4j.jar JdeNet_JAR.jar Base_JAR.jar

Troubleshooting Tips
1. When installing Crystal Reports XIR2 and Business Objects Enterprise XIR2 you may get an Error Message: cab file cannot be found. This is a known intermittent problem with the installer and not with the Business Object product. Copy the cab file that the error says it is missing and all the others after it into the path the error is saying the source file is not found in. Refer to the Appendix ANSWER: Troubleshooting in the JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Tools Release 8.9x Business Objects XI R2 Installation and Configuration for Microsoft Windows guide. 2. Make sure that everything is installed on the C drive- See E1: CRYSTAL: Install BOE & Integration on a Drive Other than the C Drive NOTE: 656543.1 3. When changes are made make sure to stop and start app server and Crystal services ( Start\Programs\Business Objects Enterprise XI R2\ Business Objects

Enterprise\ Central Configuration Manager) E1: CRYSTAL 10/XIR2: Install BOE & Integration on a Drive Other than the C Drive [ID 656543.1] Modified 01-MAR-2010 Type PROBLEM Status PUBLISHED In this Document

Symptoms
Can I install Business Objects Enterprise and the Business Objects Enterprise Integration on a drive other than the C:\ drive?

Cause

Solution
Business Objects Enterprise Install The Setup program installs BusinessObjects Enterprise files only on the drive that you specify. There is one exception to this rule. If you previously installed another Business Objects product, the Business Objects Enterprise Setup program automatically uses the existing common directory for any shared Business Objects product files that it adds. If this common directory is on the system drive (that is, the drive containing your operating system files), Business Objects Enterprise automatically installs its shared files there. To install several Business Objects products on a non-system drive, install Business Objects Enterprise first. All Business Objects products that you install subsequently will use this same non-system drive for their shared files. Business Objects Enterprise Integration InstallThere is a bug in our installation program for JDE Integration Kit , which results in some JDE Integration Kit files being installed in the wrong folders. Currently we do not have a fix for this issue.

WORKAROUND: 1. In the registry, make sure the following keys point to the correct installation folder for Business Objects products (and if it's needed, update the keys to point to the right folders): [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Business Objects\Suite 11.5\Shared] "CommonFiles"="E:\\Program Files\\Common Files\\Business Objects\\3.5\\" "CEShared"="E:\\Program Files\\Business Objects\\" "SuiteInstallDir"="E:\\Program Files\\Business Objects\\" 2. Uninstall the JDE Integration Kit. 3. Install JDE Integration Kit. 4. Make sure JDE Integration Kit files are installed in the correct folders. If JDE Integration Kit files are not installed in the correct folders, then: 1. Follow the attached documents to manually copy JDE Integration Kit files in to the right folders. 2. Ask your customer to back up their Business Objects Enterprise (XI R2) CMS database. 3. Delete all references to the JDE security plugin in the Business Objects Enterprise CMS database. The information from the JDE tab (which is shown in CMC) is stored in the BOE CMS database, specifically in CMS_InfoObjects5 table. To see secPSE1 data from this table run the following SQL: SELECT * FROM CMS_InfoObjects5 WHERE (ObjName = 'secpse1'); To manually data from this table run the following SQL: DELETE FROM CMS_InfoObjects5 WHERE (ObjName = 'secpse1'); Also, make sure that CMS_Aliases5 table contains no entries relevant to secPSE1. E.g. run the following SQL: DELETE FROM CMS_Aliases5 WHERE (Alias like 'secpse1%'); 4. Restart CMS server using CCM.
