ECOZYME 11 Giga

ECOZYME 11 Giga is a blend of microorganisms and enzyme concentrate in powder form

manufactured using a proven Japanese technology designed to help in rapid degradation of insoluble lipids as well as fats, oil and grease that cannot easily be degraded by native microorganisms. One kg of this concentrate generates 11,000,000,000 environment friendly and harmless bacteria when activated (as per procedure specified further) and hence 11 Giga. The enzymes rapidly liquefy organic waste such as fats, protein, hydrocarbons, starches, grease, detergents, etc. which is then easily digested by microbes and protozoa.

ECOZYME 11 Giga can be used in industrial, municipal and sewage wastewater treatment,
aquaculture ponds, polluted rivers and lakes, and residential and rural septic system. It is an effective microbial-enzyme treatment and can be used as both pretreatment and support for traditional techniques to enhance the wastewater treatment.

The Enzymes & their Function

BS : Bacillus Produces useful enzymes like protease, cellulase, and lipase
amylase,

PSB : Phototropic bacteria Produces bacteria cell ATP, absorption of CO2, and breaking down of H2S
The function of BS and PSB is mutually related to each other. In the water body, BS inhales oxygen (O2) and exhales carbon dioxide (CO2). As a facultative anaerobic microbe, PSB starts developing around BS to consume CO2. By utilizing CO2, PSB synthesizes bacteria cell ATP that is given off to BS. BS then uses it as an energy source. BS, on the other hand, secretes various types of organic acids that are also given off to PSB. PSB then uses it as an energy source. The above described action repeats and magnifies the function of the microbes in the water body. A large amount of enzymes are produced. The combination of BS and PSB produces 4 times higher power than when they are used separately.

Activation Method of ECOZYME 11 Giga

Requirements: Plastic (Sintex type) tank ECOZYME 11 Giga Heater & Thermostat Small Blower or taping Procedure: Fill the 500 liter Activation Tank with 300 liters of water. With a thermostat, set the heater to 37C. Separately dissolve salt, sugar, and ECOZYME 11 Giga in water and add to the Activation Tank and stir thoroughly. Switch on the air supply (small blower or taping from a high capacity compressor) to the diffuser and continuously aerate the solution for the recommended duration of activation. Upon completion of the activation, take out about 250 liters of Activated ECOZYME solution for the application. The remaining 50 liters can be used as a supplement for the next activation. As foam is formed during activation, use a tank larger than the volume of the activating solution. Fill the water only upto 60% of the tank. Having 40% empty space in the tank accommodates the bubble form and prevents overflow during activation. The optimal temperature for the activation of ECOZYME solution is between 30C and 40C. Set the electric heater and thermostat to 37C, as it is the best temperature for the activation. When the solution is fully activated, before taking out from Activation tank, first switch off the heater, but continue air supply to diffuser while discharging. The diffused air agitates the solution and maintains uniform mixing density of the solution. The recommended electric heater for incubation during activation is 2kW or 3kW. Do not use less than 2kW as the heating is very slow and may disturb the activation process. Activated ECOZYME 11 Giga can be added at the inlets to aeration tank or even at beginning of the treatment process, i.e. equalization tank. Return more than 60% of generated active sludge to the Aeration Tank, so that, the reduction of BOD / COD speeds up. Retention Time of 36 hours is recommended for effective aeration. Final discharge treated water may be used for activating ECOZYME 11 Giga in the Activator. It saves usage of fresh water in a large size treatment.

City Drainage and Rivers

Activated ECOZYME can also be used at the starting point of the sewage drainage system for biological cleaning effect across the drainage lines. Trouble Shooting
It is important to regularly monitor the condition of the wastewater. If a thickening of the contents is observed, with a distinct caking effect across the surface, or an offensive, pungent odour is emitted, then gradually increase the suggested dosage rate to compensate. If the contents appear to remain in a minimal semi-liquid state with little or no odour, this indicates successful degradation of the organic waste. If ECOZYME 11 Giga does not yield results, it might be due to Inadequate dosage. Inappropriate dosing (retention) time. The water temperature might be too low or the enzyme might have been flushed out before it has enough time to react. If the oxygen supplied for microbes seem to be inadequate, aeration may be increased. Wastewater might be too acidic or contains high chlorine mixture which can kill microbes. For wastewater with high COD above 1 lakh mg/l (but biodegradable) or with low BOD to COD ratio, use Secondary Activation method as well. The recommended dosage may be adjusted (decreased / increased) based on actual field results, observing for a fortnight.
