LANTERN Cottage, Stocks Road, Alfrick Pound, near Worcester, is an attractive semi-detached country property in a pretty location. It has upvc double glazing and on the ground floor there is a hallway, a sitting room, a study area and a breakfast room/kitchen. Upstairs are two bedrooms and a bathroom. Outside is hardstanding for two vehicles, a lawn, two paved terraces, a brick outbuilding and a shed. The garden slopes gently away with shrub borders leading to an open boundary with fields.

Plan for extension

THE new owners of a listed country cottage near Kempsey, Worcester, will have the chance to extend it. Boulterley Cottage at Brookfield, Broomhall, has planning permission to link the building to a large barn, which can then be converted to provide an en-suite double bedroom and a bathroom. There is also permission for a replacement garage. At the moment the cottage has a hall, a kitchen with a pantry, a dining room, a sitting room, a rear hall, a utility area and a bathroom. Upstairs there are three double bedrooms. One of the bedrooms is reached by a second staircase and after the conversion work this could be used as a home office; the present bathroom could become a utility. Boulterley Cottage has no near neighbours, is situated on a country lane and is surrounded by its gardens of just over one third of an acre. There are views of the Malvern Hills. Grade two listed, beamed and with some wattle and daub walls, the cottage has a large drive, apple and damson trees, lawns and colourful, secluded gardens.

PLANNING PERMISSION: Boulterley Cottage, Brookfield, Broomhall, is grade two listed and large gardens.

Youll soon be on the move to new house

WITH homes in Malvern currently on the market for an average of 164 days before they sell, trying to move up the property ladder can be a long and frustrating experience. But with Charles Churchs 105 per cent part exchange scheme at its stunning Malvern Vale development, at Malvern, homeowners can enjoy a stress free move to a luxurious property in a matter of weeks. Alison Reading, sales director for Charles Church South Midlands, said: Part exchange can help to eliminate certain pitfalls involved in buying a house, such as a chain breaking down. Purchasers dont have the worry of having to market and sell their home through an agent, which means the whole moving process can be completed in just a couple of months. Two local estate agents value the buyers existing home and an offer is made on their recommendations at the market value. All the worry of a purchaser pulling out is taken away. Also, customers dont have to pay costly estate agents fees and can stay in their existing property while their new home is being constructed. Part exchange is currently available on three properties at Malvern Vale where all properties are built to the highest specification. They all include a range of luxurious features including high ceilings, chrome light switches and sockets downstairs, integrated appliances and fitted wardrobes in the master bedroom. Plot 511 is a four-bedroom detached Loxley housetype, priced at 259,995 with a single garage and driveway. In a secluded location off a private road and overlooking agricultural land it is a lovely home in a peaceful setting. Plot 520 is a Lambourne which offers flexible living space over three floors. Priced at 234,995, it also has a single garage and an attractive walled rear garden. With four bedrooms it has a large dual aspect lounge with a bay window and on the top floor are two bedrooms which could easily be used as a playroom or home gym. Plot 516 is a four-bedroom detached Cranbourne design with an integral garage and an asking priced of 289,995. Malvern Vale offers first class properties in a stunning location. Set in a valley, the development has views towards the Malvern Hills. Shops and amenities are a short drive away at either Malvern Link
