I am back again here with the next round. From the interviewers point of view I understand that he wants to know about the things we have learnt in our engineering My only suggestion Be fair Be confident Be what u are(dont pretend) Nothing can hold you backall the best!!! Lets learn something from our seniors Again remember that don't try to bluff the interviewer. If you don't have touch with Programming tell openly to interviewer. That's what i have done. But the interviewer sent me to HR. (Basically I am from mechanical). The first Interview was Technical+Managerial round There were 2 men sitting in room. Me: Good morning Sir. person no1: Okay Mr.sandeep tell me about yourself. Me: Said Person 2: Do you know any programming language. Me: Yes sir but i completely forgot about it.But I have prepared C. no1: Okay what do you know about softwares. Me: My hobby is Collecting Operating System. no2: Oh! okay tell me about latest Operating sytem. Me: Said about Ubuntu. No1: You are trying to get job by staying in your hometown only. Then how can you get job? Me: Sir I am much confident that I will get a job. Thats why I came here for interview. No2: Okay. Do you know any softwares? Me: Thank you sir. The next round is HR. The HR who interviewed me was Madam. Me: Good morning Madam. HR: Good morning take your seat. Me: Thank you. HR: Okay Mr sandeep tell me about your Project. Me: Said. HR: Okay sandeep (while watching my resume) your HSC percentage is more but your percentage in B.Tech is very less (90 &67). Me: I explained the diff between HSC and B.Tech. HR: So you are from mechanical. But you want to join in our company. How can you survive as software engineer. Me: Explained in my own way. HR: Okay! What is your aim.

Me: Madam I want to create new operating system. I will distribute it for free. HR: (with a lot of surprise) You dont know atleast basics of programmes but how can you create it ?

Me: (with lot of confidence) madam how can BilGates invented Windows with his team.thats his confidence. I am confident that I can do it. HR: Okay then what will you for it? Me: I explained it in my own way. HR: Okay do have sibblings ? Me: I said about my brother. HR: Okay do you know about bond with tcs? Me: Yes madam. HR: We will send your information to check your percentage. Is it okay? Me: Yes madam. HR: Can you work anywhere? Me: Yes madam. HR: Is westbengal okay for you ? Me: Okay madam. HR: Okay results will be given in one week? Me: Thak you madam. nice to meet you. HR: Me too. The HR round was around 30 to 40 min. After 10 days I got mail from TCS that I was selected. Some of the selected had one round after another. And some had MR and Technical at a time then HR round. I had Technical and MR at once Here I was asked Technical itself? I was of E.C.E background I kept interested subject as circuit theory ,C language I will write questions asked Have you attempted for Tcs before? answered Do you Know about digital electronics yes design a nand gate using nor gates did draw a circuit using R,L,C? did Why we have to use inductor in circuits, what is their behavior? said Why we have to use capacitor in circuits, what is their behavior? said Asked another questions related to E.C.E I said, that i could not recollect right know Why did you keep Circuit Theory as Interesting subject Answered What subject do you know well? Thank you me: Thank you I felt its our confidence that plays major role again. We were informed that the selected candidates will be sent mail by next 10 days So, i am waiting for mail. Hoping that my experience help you. All the best . Technical round: They gave us a form to fill. Fill it carefully and wait for your turn the panel consisted of 2 Tcs officials I entred the room wished them they told me to be seated as soon as i sat, i 1st TCSer told me to solve 2 maths series questions. Firstly i was unabled to do so but with his hint i solved them after that he asked me to gave my introduced. I did so. Then he asked me sum questions related to data structure like binary search and all. I answered them. I was very nervous as it was my 1st intrview but he told me to be calm. He was very nyc and plesent. I felt relaxed. Then he asked me sum questions regarding C. I couldn't anwsered them. I told him that i have an ECE background. So don't know see much. Then 2nd TCSer asked me to tell about my favourite subjects. I answered. Microproc and digital. He asked me to draw 8085 architect. but i studied only 8086's archi. But still i draw the architecture and explaind to him. Then the 1st 1 asked me to draw OSI and TCP/IP as i have done my training in complete. netwroking. I draw and explaind to him.

He asked sum questions relatng to them. I answered them all. He was very impressed by my answers. I felt elated he told me that i was on the edge and i have to wait for my results. My heart was beating very fast. After 45 mins they announced the results and thank GOD. I cleared this round also. I sigh relief about 60% of us were selected

Managerial round: This was an easy round There were to officials but only 1 was asking question. Sum basics question like why TCS? Why we should we hire you?. Selectd any were else? like that i answered them and he was convinced no techinal. I cleared it too about 80% of us were selected.

HR round: It was happening in group of 7 to 10 candidates the HR was very nyc. When we entered in. We were given a hypothetical situation and told us to give are reviews and then to have good on it. Luckily the HR agreed with my opinon. Then she changed the situation to more difficult 1and then asked to give our opinons, Then we asked sum question like our package, job location and training. she explained us evreything and solved our all doubts After 45 mins. Results were announced. I was selected in my dream company. Wow almost all were selected.

I'm a TCSer now.
