Sunday school teachers are moved to different classes, are replaced by new teachers more sympathetic with the changes being implemented. Replace the old foundations with the new changing the underpinning of their faith. The name Sunday school is dropped in classes is given new name. A Mega Church in my town changed its name from "Christian Fellowship" to "Christian Cultural Center" and not one person noticed a thing... Rick Warren Councils Jewish Leaders on How to Recruit Congregants

This story from the Christian Post is just mind boggling. It says: "Mega church pastor Rick Warren attended a large Reform Jewish gathering last week to share tips on how to build a community.... The Purpose-Driven pastor spoke to thousands of Jewish leaders Thursday night at the Union for Reform Judaisms biennial convention in San Diego. With the holiday season in mind, Warren urged clergy to take advantage of crowded events to publicize other programs so people can get involved in the community through smaller groups. There are some principles that apply regardless of our faith, if its Jewish or Christian, he said at the convention.... After Warren spoke a few minutes at the podium, he sat alongside two popular Southern California rabbis for a casual talk about

We've been working from the notion that Jesus Christ is the ONLY way of salvation and that we as the church are called to make disciples through the preaching of Christ Crucified for sinners. With that being the case, we don't see any freedom given by God in His Word for a Christian pastor to help Jewish synagogues recruit people. Have we completely missed the boat here? Are non-Christians now saved? Is the only thing that matters to God is that people go to "A" house of worship regardless of whether it is Christian, Jewish, Muslim or 'other'? How is what Rick Warren did NOT a complete betrayal of Jesus Christ?iv

John 4:24 God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth. DECADE OF DESTINY Pastor Rick Warren has a message for the some 20,000 people who attend Saddleback Church: If you want to remain a passive Christian, find another church.

During his weekend sermon, Warren laid out a plan for Saddleback's next "Decade of Destiny" in which he's anticipating exponential growth. And the plan has no room for fake Christians, (FAKE CHRISTIANS TO WARREN ARE BIBLE BELEIVING CHRISTIANS-THOSE THAT ACCEPT AS TRUE THAT JESUS IS THE ONLY WAY BACK TO GOD), he indicated. "Let me just be honest with you as somebody who loves you. If eastern you passively just want to sit around in the next 10 years and just kundalini waste your life on things that won't last, you probably want to find another church because you're not going to really feel comfortable here. Because if you're in this church, I'm coming after you to be mobilized," said the renowned southern California pastor. Saddleback celebrated its 30th anniversary last month and in preparation for the mega churchs next decade, Warren took the congregation back to the first church in the New Testament for a look at what "real Christianity" is all about. "There are a lot of things done in the name of Christianity in the church that Jesus Christ would disavow," he lamented. "There's fake Christianity, there's phony Christianity, there's pseudoChristianity.v WHAT DOES RICK WARREN MEAN DECADE OF DESTINY? WORSHIP OF OTHER GODS Shai (Shay, Schai, Schay) was the ancient Egyptian god of fate and destiny. He was both a personification of these concepts as well as a deity - the Egyptians believed that he was 'born' with each individual, yet he was also a god. Although genrally "fate" was deemed to be male, there was also a female version of this god known as "shait". The Egyptians believed that Shai determined the length of each persons life and was born with each person at their birth and remained at their side until they faced their final judgment before Osiris in the underworld (the duat). He was an ambivalent deity who could protect or damn a person as he offered a true account of each life in the Hall of Judgment. Even the gods and the pharaohs were in the hands of fate. Ramses II called himself "Lord of Shai" and Akhenaten stated that "the Aten is the Shai who gives life". In the instructions of Amenemope the scribe states... Note the covenant confirmed with the JEWS in that strategic verse. VOWS and OATHS. The New Testament teaching from our Lord Himself is that we should say yes or no, but NOT vow or make an oath! Christians should not make covenants which require vows or oaths or sacred promises, according to our Lords instructions. See Matthew 5:34-37. When we speak we should speak as sincere men and women of God, whose word is honorable, so we do not have to bind ourselves in any way with vows or oaths or sacred promises, for whatever is more than this cometh of evil. II Corinthians 2:17. DO NOT sign or make any covenants, oaths, promises or vows (In a Christian context) Our Lord came to deal with the human heart, where as the Mosaic Law allowed oaths as safe-guards against the dishonesty of the man under Law, who had not experienced the new birth into the new creation. Marriage vows are really civil law, not religious vows, which must be taken under our countrys secular administration, whether in a civil ceremony or in a church.ix The Rick Warren Church, Saddleback Valley Community Church, issued its potential members with a Covenant, which they MUST sign before membership is allowed. This means they are signing a vow to keep certain requirements of that church. Many churches are now following the Saddleback model, we warn the reader to beware! What are some of the chief concerns about such a covenant? One deep concern is that people are expected to sign a vow that they will give a tenth of their income! Yet, the Bible tells us that what we give in the Church Age is to be given out of the generosity of our own hearts, cheerfully, and not by covenant or necessity: Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver. (II Cor. 9:7). Another concern is that people must sign a covenant that they will follow the leaders of the church! Now the Bible says we must obey church leaders, but only if those leaders are Godly, Bible-based, obedient to God etc. If they are not these things, then we must NOT follow them. It is not of God to sign a covenant to simply follow leaders, full stop. One has vowed in writing to follow, without any proviso. And at any rate, why is any covenant necessary, why bind ourselves to obedience to leaders with a signature? We are called primarily to follow the Lord and His Word; leaders are just saved sinners after all. There is even a signed vow that one will attend the church faithfully and live a Godly life. No one should have to sign such a covenant. For one thing new Christians especially may not have learned how to walk http://www.patholliday.com Page 12

by faith for sanctification; they will then often fail to live as Godly a life as they know they should. They would be breaking a signed vow to God, which they cannot help but break to some extent! What guilt and shame would be heaped upon their heads, not to mention condemnation! Believers should also meet to worship God because they want to before the Lord, because they are alive in Jesus Christ, not because they have signed a covenant with some fellowship group. All this is heavily legalistic and binding upon people. x

Other words, the people will follow the church leaders for the sake of the oath instead of their love for Jesus and His Word. We freely and willingly follow the leaders because His Word tells us to do so and not because we sign an oath drawn up by a person. What can you do? If your church is in the initial stages of change (music or the first 40-day program), your church could be saved by talking with other church members, and with activists intervention that 10 - 20 percent of the membership. If nothing is done at this early stage, then bad that I and the program advances to step four, there is all levels that can be done except look for another church your church has been stolen and become eight purpose driven entity in association with Saddleback Church of Orange county or Willow Creek of Chicago. You must educate yourself and others so that you can mobilize the membership to effective resist. FIGHT FOR THE CHURCH OF THE LORD JESUS CHRIST! DO NOT PLEDGE OATHS TO MEN

THE BRIDE OF CHRIST The Bridegroom is a reference that is made to the Lord Jesus Christ several times in the New Testament. Whether you are a new Christian or a longtime believer, you must know that the Christian faith is about a Divine Person and not about "religion. That Person is our Heavenly Bridegroom, the Lord Jesus Christ. The true Church, which is made up of Born Again believers in Him is His Heavenly Bride. We are His chosen companions for all eternity, and His great love for us is without measure, and without comparison. The Lord Jesus Christ clearly stated that He would return in a moment (Rev. 22:7, 12, 20). We are to expect His return at any time (1 Thess. 4:15-18). In fact, we are to await it with joy and put off all the confidence of this world in order to be prepared for His soon return for us. This parable, or something like it is found in the Jewish records: so in a treatise entitled RESHITH CHOKMAH, the beginning of wisdom, we read thus: "Our wise men of blessed memory say, Repent whilst thou hast strength to do it, whilst thy lamp burns, and thy oil is not extinguished; for if thy lamp be gone out, thy oil will profit thee nothing."1 (Matt 25:1).

[Then shall the kingdom of heaven] (See the notes at Matt 3:2). The phrase here refers to his coming in the Day of Judgment. [Shall be likened] Or shall resemble; the meaning is, "When the Son of man returns to judgment, it will be as it was in the case of ten virgins in a marriage ceremony." The coming of Christ to receive his people to himself is often represented under the similitude of a marriage, the church being represented as his spouse or bride. The marriage relation is the most tender, firm, and endearing of any known on earth, and on this account it suitably represents the union of believers to Christ.

Matt. 9:15 And Jesus said unto them, Can the children of the bride chamber mourn, as long as the bridegroom is with them? but the days will come, when the bridegroom shall be taken from them, and then shall they fast. John 3:29 He that hath the bride is the bridegroom: but the friend of the bridegroom, which standeth and heareth him, rejoiceth greatly because of the bridegroom's voice: this my joy therefore is fulfilled. Rev 19:7-9 7 Let us be glad and rejoice, and give honour to him: for the marriage of the Lamb is come, and his wife hath made herself ready. 8 And to her was granted that she should be arrayed in fine linen, clean and white: for the fine linen is the righteousness of saints. 9 And he saith unto me, Write, Blessed are they which are called unto the marriage supper of the Lamb. And he saith unto me, These are the true sayings of God. Rev. 21:9 9 And there came unto me one of the seven angels which had the seven vials full of the seven last plagues, and talked with me, saying, Come hither, I will shew thee the bride, the Lamb's wife. Eph. 5:25-32 Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it; 26 That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word, 27 That he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish. 28 So ought men to love their wives as their own bodies. He that loveth his wife loveth himself. 29 For no man ever yet hated his own flesh; but nourisheth and cherisheth it, even as the Lord the church: 30 For we are members of his body, of his flesh, and of his bones. 31 For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and shall be joined unto his wife, and they two shall be one flesh. 32 This is a great mystery: but I speak concerning Christ and the church. Ephesians 5:26 That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word [That he might sanctify and cleanse it] The church is represented as the spouse of Christ, as the woman is the spouse of the man; and, to prepare this church for himself, he washes, cleanses, and sanctifies it. purifying women, who were appointed to be consorts to kings; twelve months, it appears, were in some instances spent in this purification: Six months with oil of myrrh, and six months with sweet odors and with other things, for the purifying of women. See the case of Esther, Esther 2:12; see also Ps. 45:13-14; Ezek. 16:7-14. [With the washing of water] Baptism, accompanied by the purifying influences of the Holy Spirit. [By the word] The doctrine of Christ crucified, through which baptism is administered, sin canceled, and the soul purified from all unrighteousness; the death of Christ giving efficacy to all. 1 Ephesians 5:27 That he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish. [That he might present it to himself] It was usual to bring the royal bride to the king in the most sumptuous apparel; and is there not here an allusion to Ps 45:13-14: The king's daughter (Pharaoh's) is all glorious within, her clothing is of wrought gold; she shall be brought unto the king (Solomon) in raiment of needlework? This presentation here spoken of by the apostle will take place on the last day. See the note at 2 Cor. 11:2. [A glorious church] Every way splendid and honorable, because pure and holy. [Not having spot] Spilon. No blemish on the face; no spots upon the garment; the heart and life both holy. [Wrinkle] Rutida. No mark of superannuation or decay. The word is commonly applied to wrinkles on the face, indicative of sickness or decrepitude.

[Holy and without blemish.] In every sense holy, pure, and perfect. Now it was for this purpose that Christ gave himself for the church; and for this purpose he continues the different ordinances which he has appointed; and, particularly, the preaching of the word-the doctrine of reconciliation through faith in his blood. And it is in this life that all this purification is to take place; for none shall be presented at the day of judgment to him who has not here been sanctified, cleansed, washed, made glorious, having neither spot, wrinkle, blemish, nor any such thing. How vain is the pretension of multitudes to be members of the true church while full of spots, wrinkles, blemishes, and MANY such things; fondly supposing that their holiness is in their surety, because not in themselves! Reader, lay thy hand on thy conscience and say, Dost thou believe that this is Paul's meaning! See the notes at Eph 3:14, etc. 2 Ephesians 5:30 For we are members of his body, of his flesh, and of his bones. [We are member's of his body] He has partaken of our nature, as we have partaken of the nature of Adam. And as he is the head of the Church and the Savior of this body; so we, being members of the church, are members of his mystical body. That is, we are united to him by

one Spirit in the closest intimacy, even similar to that which the members have with the body.

Another parable, mentioned by Kimchi, concerning (Isa. 65:13), "Rabbi Yuchanan, the son of Zachai, spoke a parable concerning a king, who invited his servants, but set them no time to come: the prudent and wary among them adorned themselves, and, standing at the door of the king's house, said, Is anything wanting in the house of the king? (I.e., is there any work to be done?) But the foolish ones that were among them went away, and working said, when shall the feast be in which there is no labour? Suddenly the king sought out his servants: those who were adorned entered in, and they who were still polluted entered in also. The king was glad when he met the prudent, but he was angry when he met the foolish: he said, let the prudent sit down and eat-let the others stand and look on." Rabbi Eliezer said, "Turn to God one day before your death." His disciples said, "How can a man know the day of his death? He answered them, "Therefore you should turn to God today, perhaps you may die tomorrow; thus every day will be employed in returning." 2 Sad to say, many Christians today have fallen asleep under the powers of bewitching false ministers, and are busy about the day to day cares and affairs of this world. Many walk in a spiritual semi consciousness listening to false messages about everything but Jesus and His Word. This spiritual condition is shown interpreted and represented in our Lord's parable of the ten virgins (Matt. 25:1-13). THE BRIDE Question: "What does it mean that the church is the bride of Christ?" Answer: The imagery and symbolism of marriage are applied to Christ and the body of believers known as the church. These are those who have trusted in Jesus Christ as their personal savior and have received eternal life. In the New Testament, Christ, the bridegroom, has sacrificially and lovingly chosen the church to be His bride (Eph. 5:25-27). Just as there was a betrothal period in biblical times during which the bride and groom were separated until the wedding, so is the bride of Christ separate from her bridegroom during the church age. Her responsibility during the betrothal period is to be faithful to Him (2 Cor.11:2; Eph. 5:24). At the Second Coming of Christ, the church will be united with the Bridegroom, the official "wedding ceremony" will take place and, with it, the eternal union of Christ and his bride will be actualized (Rev. 19:7-9; 21:1-2). 3 HEAVENLY CITY At that time, all believers will inhabit the heavenly city known as New Jerusalem, also called the holy city in Revelation 21:2 and 10. The New Jerusalem is not the church, but it takes on the churchs characteristics. In his vision of the end of the age, the Apostle John sees the city coming down from heaven adorned as a bride meaning that the inhabitants of the city, the redeemed of the Lord, will be holy and pure, wearing white garments of holiness and righteousness. Some have misinterpreted verse 9 to mean the holy city is the bride of Christ, but that cannot be because Christ died for His people, not for a city. The city is called the bride because it encompasses all who is the bride, just as all the students of a school are sometimes called the school. As believers in Jesus Christ, we who are the bride of Christ wait with great anticipation for the day

when we will be united with our Bridegroom. Until then, we remain faithful to Him and say with all the redeemed of the Lord, Come, Lord Jesus! (Rev. 22:20). 4 Remember the standard of truth is the Scriptures.
