The Destroying In Mentawai Island By Febri Dian Tika Dintasi 09111080

Earthquake is a natural phenomenon that results from underground movement along a fault plane. Shaking and vibration at the surface of the earth resulting from underground movement. An earthquake with great force struck the Mentawai islands. An earthquake measuring 7.2 magnitude followed by a sweep of the tsunami destroyed thousands of settlements and killed 311 people, 460 people missing, and thousands more fled to the hills. Based on the problem that occur in Mentawai so can take some effect that has correlation with an earthquake that occur in that Island. And h ere I want to describes how the influence the biggest of effect earthquake in Mentawai Island. Which is so many building were broke and the death of that occur. Therefore why we must know about the effect that can be the problem that occur in Mentawai Island, so the government can acting to affirm the cause. In order to the people what in incurred can be helped and safe in that accident. Key word: explanation of earthquake, the effect of earthquake itself.

Introduction
Why do Earthquakes Happen? Earthquakes happen because there are moving plates way down below the surface of the earth. They bump and grind against each other and sometimes it can be felt all the way up here. So why did people know about earthquake, because earthquake is a natural phenomenon that results from underground movement along a fault plane. Shaking and vibration at the surface of the earth resulting from underground movement. And also a series of vibrations induced in the earths crust by the abrupt rupture and rebound of rocks in which elastic strain has been slowly accumulating. It is also something that is severely disruptive. Earthquakes are caused when rocks underground suddenly break along a fault. This causes a sudden release of energy that creates seismic waves which makes the ground shake. But the earthquake can cause disaster to all the people. One of them is Mentawai Island, do you know about Mentawai Island is a Island of west Sumatra which is the Mentawai Islands were separated once more from the Sumatran mainland by rising sea levels. The Mentawai people are estimated to have arrived on the islands somewhere between 2000 and 500 BCE, migrating from the north through Siberut and then moving south to Sipora and the Pagai Islands. This even Mentawai Island has tried by a natural phenomenon which is earth quake. Earth quake in Mentawai Island is happened on 25 October, in 2010. Earthquake with the power off 7 , 7 liter scale. And then other cou ntry say that the earthquake that occur at 21: 42, a rounded 150 ml (240 km) beside of west of Bengkulu. Based on the result that has I analysis that there are two effect of earthquake in Mentawai Island. In between is destroying of building and a lot of the people the death and hurts. And the causes of earth quake in Mentawai.

Discussion
When we discussed the earthquake there are some factor that has causing the occurrence of the earth quake which is shaking of duration of earth quake in Mentawai Island with the power 7, 2 scale liter. An earthquake measuring 7.2 magnitude followed by a sweep of the tsunami destroyed thousands of settlements and killed 311 people, 460 people missing, and thousands more fled to the hills. When the occurrence is happen the people of Mentawai try to protect own self to the place but it cannot they to hinder , and of the occurrence there are two effect in between the building of Mentawai Island a lot destroy and the government has responsible so important to them where they must to lost the house that has of their long lived. In occurance 15 unit of school has broke, and 10 unit of church also a lot destroy and 10 unit of t he bridge that existing follow to fall to pieces incurred by the earthquake The government tries giving help to them that has not some stay for while this. After that there are effect where after earthquake that occur the people of mentawai island getting disaster which is the people is residing in the nearby them must death of the earthquake in Mentawai island. So many people that must experiencing of the death tragic because the disaster. The number of death the earthquake reaching 286 people and to the people light and ha rd hurt reaching 200 people, so the people that lose. When they getting disaster, they always be patient because only that can they did. Although acrimony to accepted, because that occurrence a lot of citizen which defeated and your loss they and even a disease come to the people in that place.

Conclusion
Earth quake, when we heard about earthquake, it will be dangerous for us to imagine that. In conclusion that there are two effects that occur when an earthquake happen in Mentawai Island in between is many the building in that place must fall to pieces. But the people in Mentawai Island, they always to attempt are the good people and patient to face the reality in their life when earthquake break their residence, place of effort they look for the requirement one day their day. Although acrimony to accepted, because that occurrence a lot of citizen which defeated and your loss they and even a disease come to the people in that place. Therefore as the human being can study of the event so we can feel smart of the people in Mentawai Island. After I give a statement about the earth qu ake I can take a title about it, which is the destroying in Mentawai Island. Because it is the title that suitable with that occurrence what has befallen people of Mentawai Island.
