Ayurvedic Way of Daily Routine Life (Dinacharya)

1. 2. 3. 4. 5. 6. Wake up Time--- between 4am to 6am. Rinse your mouth with hot water. Drink two cups of warm water and afterwards take gentle walk in the house. Clear your bowel movements. Brush your teeth with Ayurvedic herbal tooth paste or tooth powder. Scrape your tongue and observe the tongue to check the level of toxins present in stomach. 7. Gandush (oil pulling) procedure -- take 4 teaspoons of sesame oil or Irimedadi Taila into your mouth and swish or garggle it for about 10 minutes. 8. Do exercise regularly -- Yoga-Sunsalutations,other postures,Pranayam and Meditation. 9. Do Self oil massage regularly with Sesame oil. 10. Breakfast ---a) One day fruit diet ( see food list) with 1 teaspoon of Honey,Nuts and Seeds add a pinch of ginger powder,nutmeg powder,black pepper,tumeric powder. b) 10 grain porridge ( Red Bob's Mill) mix with coconut milk,1 teaspoon of coconut oil or Ghee(Clarified Butter) add nuts and seeds,pinch of ginger,nutmeg,tumeric,blackpepper powder. c) Fruit and Vegatable juices --- 250ml add 1 teaspoon of spiriluna, Wheatgrass powder, flax seed powder. d) Oats with milk. 11. Drink as many as herbal teas.(Detox yogi tea) between breakfast and lunch. 12. Lunch --- (see food list) Nicely cooked grains and vegetables,Mung beans,Butter milk. cook vegetables with ghee or cocnut oil.For dressing olive is prefered. Try to consumer more fresh ginger. 13. Dinner --- Same as above but little quantity.(see food list). 14. Go to bed at 10:30pm. 15. At least 7 to 8 hours sleep is required to maintain proper health. 16. Try to meditate 1/2 hour regularly. 17. Reduce your stress levels by understanding lifes principles, doing yoga, pranayama...

18. Try to eat freshly cooked food everday.(no left over) 19. Eat your food with silence (Not infront of Tv or other activities) 20. Try to organize your work so you can finish it in proper time. 21. Try to avoid thinking about your past and future.(Be in present moment) 22. Drink at 3 liters of luke warm water (No cold water or beverages) 23. Avoid milk shakes and fruit mixed with yogurt. 24. Try to avoid Non-vegeterian food. 25. Avoid sugar (Use only Honey, Agave syrup, Stewia.) 26. Eat only when genuinely hungry and when your last meal is fully digested(about 3-6 hours a main meal). 27. Eat in a quiet and relaxed atmosphere. While eating you should not read, work, or watch television. Always sit down to eat. 28. No coffee and milk tea. Try to drink only Herbal Tea. 29. Try to be regular in your meal times. 30. Avoid eating between meal. 31. include all 6 tastes in each meal.(Sweet, Sour, Salty, Spicy, Bitter, Astrigent). 32. Try to use these tastes in your food ---a) Sweet, Sour, Salty. b) Bitter, Spicy, Astrigent. c) Sweet, Bitter, Astrigent. 33. Pranayama (Breathing Techniques) helps to control your mind.
