SwitchBlade x908 Customer Applications

The SwitchBlade x908 is ideally suited for the following customers and network applications:

Service Provider
Delivery of high-quality voice, video, and data services at the metro edge and aggregation layer. Central office aggregation of long distance links to points of presence (PoPs). Head-end aggregation of broadcast and Video on Demand (VoD) servers. DSLAM aggregation at PoPs. Metro network access - Customer Premises Equipment (CPE) for Multi-tenant unit or leased offices. Data center, web hosting, and server co-location. Ethernet Protected Switched Rings (EPSR) and 10 GbE modules allow for the SwitchBlade x908, with a number of x900 switches or iMAPs, to form a high speed protected ring with sub 50ms failover. This feature is perfect for high performance at the core of Enterprise or Provider Access networks 10 Gigabit uplinks for maximum throughput of traffic.
