This week at Canalside there are 21 events and most of them are free to the public! The final two Buffalo Place Rocks the Harbor shows take place this weekend. Alice Cooper brings his special brand of fun to Canalside on Friday, August 26, and Buffalo favorite Great Big Sea will be on hand Saturday, August 27 for a show featuring their distinctive Celtic/Rock blend. Tickets are still available for both shows, call 716-856-3150. Sunday, August 28 is a history lovers delight there are opportunities to rub elbows with DeWitt Clinton, Joseph Hodge and Erie Canal Sal. That evening you can enjoy a serenade from the Hutchinson Family Revival as they sing selections from The American Songbook. Buffalo Urban Outdoor Education (BUOE) is offering a unique opportunity for families to learn about the science and ecology of the Great Lakes this Friday. Tickets are $12 for adults and $6 for children. Exercise classes, from yoga to Zumba will help you to stay in shape, and Tifft Nature Preserve/The Buffalo Museum of Science offers free family programming on Monday afternoon.
