- Embedded electronics - RS-232 interface - 0 to 5 VDC analog output - Guided calibration - Offset parameter (New from version 4.xx) - Takes reading directly inside the fuel tank - Built-in temperature sensor - Fully compatible with Skypatrol units CA730 General description The CA730 is a electronic fuel level meter with serial and analog output, for the terrestrial transport industries. This high-tech device is designed to support the extreme conditions found in this kind of application. It has no moving parts and is maintenance-free. The CA730 is made out of aluminum. The CA730 is based in high performance microcontroller for robustness, high accuracy and linearity as well as long term stability. The low power, high voltage range electronics of the CA730 is optimized for use in truck applications. The flash memory microcontroller used in the CA730, allows user to configure the report parameters and to do in field firmware upgrades.

www.caraltec.com 3.5 Offset
Since the CA730's probe must be 1/2" above the bottom of the tank, the amount of fuel in this space can't be sensed, this amount may be taken into account by intruducing an offset.
To set the quantity of fuel below the sensor AT$OFFSET=<offset> <offset> offset in 0.1 gallons, 3 digits with leading zeros 000 HeaderOK|ERROR,IdFooter
To query the current fuel level AT$QRYFLV Message (see message format section)
