What is Handy One?

Handy One is a flux cored product. To be more precise, its a brazing alloy wrapped around a powdered flux. Handy One flux-cored materials can be used to simplify and improve most metal-joining operations. Because the flux is essentially pre-measured and accurately distributed, Handy One delivers the correct amount of flux exactly where it is needed. Advantages: Eliminates a separate fluxing operation Reduces the brazing cycle time Improves joint strength and quality Minimizes post braze cleaning/finishing operations Reduces flux contamination

Why its better than solid wire and paste flux?

All in one product No separate flux to apply Produces stronger joints - less flux entrapped inside the joint Less material used

Why Aluminum Flux Cored is better than solid aluminum wire?

Joins copper to aluminum or aluminum to aluminum joints Great for repair work and patching holes in aluminum coils No handling of chemicals or corrosive flux to apply Product doesnt fume Its non-corrosive and does not need to be cleaned after soldering Produces stronger joints

Which Handy One Do I Choose?

Our new AL-822 Aluminum Handy One, with its lower melt point, makes it easier to join components such as aluminum condensers and evaporators, and other aluminum base metals when compared to other aluminum braze alloys. Aluminum Handy One offers the industry an innovative solution low-temperature solution for brazing aluminum.
AL 822 - Highly recommended low temperature, high strength braze for joining aluminum-to-aluminum or aluminum-to-copper. Easy to use, includes a non-corrosive flux. This alloy contains less Zinc than AL 802, making it more compatible with aluminum. Commonly used to make repairs to aluminum and aluminum components. AL 718 - Typically used in furnace applications or where temperature is tightly controlled as this alloy melts slightly below the temperature of most common aluminum base materials. Fluid aluminum braze filler metal that is cored with a non-corrosive flux to join aluminum and aluminum alloys. AL 802 - High strength, high temperature solder for joining aluminum-to-aluminum or aluminum-to-copper. This alloy contains a non-corrosive flux and melts at a lower temperature. This alloy has a high Zinc content making it less compatible with aluminum base materials.
