Siteco Lighting Tool Brief instructions

Introduction
The Siteco.Lighting.Tool enables you to select a product with just a few clicks and to transfer this to the RELUX and DIALUX lighting planning programs. The product spectrums Indoor and Outdoor are available. The products can be selected via the catalogue structure or via Features. The catalogue structure has four levels. Product segment, Product group, Product family and Product version. As features, Mounting type, Lamp type, Number of lamps, Wattage per lamp, Ballast, Light distribution, Protection rating and Insulation class are available. For Outdoor, the Mounting height feature is also available. The tool also offers Full text search as a further search possibility. Here the words entered are searched for in the catalogue structure and product text. In Order number you can either enter a complete order number or part of an order number. The search for Full text search and Order number is started by pressing the return key.

By clicking on the product segment Linear fluorescent luminaires for suspended mounting this is selected. The product spectrum is limited to 118 order numbers. Three product groups are now available for selection. On the left side the field Product segment has been filled.

By clicking on the product group Luminaires with ELDACON the number of hits is reduced to 35. The features Lamp type, Protection rating and Insulation class now contain a value. This means that all 35 products have lamp type T16, protection rating IP20 and insulation class I (protective earth). Because the hits are less than 50, the 35 order numbers are displayed with the most important features in the order number overview. The limit of 50 can be modified in the Settings.

By clicking on the Quadrature 2 product family, the number of hits is reduced to 8. Because with this product there is only one variant, this is automatically selected.

By clicking in the first row the detail view for order number 5MQ23872L is displayed.

The detail view has three areas. Selection area, image area and text area. The selection area has two entries, because the product may have the lamp configurations 2 x T16 21W/840 and 2 x T16 39W/840. In the image area the product image, light distribution curve and dimensional sketch are shown. The individual images can be enlarged with . By clicking on the image is copied to the clipboard and can for example be opened added in Word. The images can be saved in JPG format. In addition, the photometric data can be saved in the formats ULD (for DIALUX), ROLF( for RELUX), LDT (EULUMDAT) and IES (American format). In the text area the sales text of the product with the test report number is shown. You can return to the product overview with <.

Introductory example: Luminaire without accessories transfer to RELUX and DIALUX


The columns RELUX and DIALUX in the selection area, specify whether the luminaire can be transferred to the corresponding lighting program. If the symbol is shown in the column then the luminaire in the current configuration can be transferred by drag and drop to RELUX or DIALUX. Position the mouse cursor over the symbol, press and hold the left mouse button and move the cursor while pressing the left mouse button into the room ground plan. When the cursor is on the ground plan release the left mouse button and the luminaire then appears shortly afterwards in the plan. Clicking again enables you to add a second luminaire. Adding is terminated by pressing the ESC key. If RELUX is not visible, position the mouse cursor over the RELUX symbol in the task bar. RELUX is shown and the luminaire can be added to the ground plan. Transfer via drag and drop to DIALUX is identical to RELUX. In DIALUX, the action is completed after adding to the ground plan. The luminaire is added to your own database with To DIALUX - user database. The luminaire does not appear in the current project. If you wish to add the luminaire to the current project but not yet position it in the ground plan, select To DIALUX - project.

The entry modar in the Full text search results in three product families with 37 products. Selection of Number of lamps 2 leads to four order numbers. Selecting 5TR30172H gives the following detail view.

Further example: Luminaire with accessories - Configuration


Possible technical accessories are listed in the detail view. Because no accessories have been selected, the open distribution variant is shown. To configuration 2 x T16 28W/840 we select the HDP reflector, 5TR60120H extremely wide distribution. As product image the combination of 5TR30172H and 5TR60120H is now displayed. The light distribution curve now shows the curves for the selected combination. In the text area the sales text for the accessories is also shown. The selected combination has a 3D model. In the 3D model column you can select whether the model is transferred to the lighting planning program or not.

Tips and special features


In the navigation bar you can move backwards and forwards. By clicking on a level you can select it. Clicking on luminaires with ELDACON leads to

The drag and drop symbol only appears when DIALUX or RELUX has been started and when a light distribution curve is displayed for the selected product. In the settings you can select between the German or international catalogue. In the settings you can also specify whether the detail view is displayed via click or double click on the product.
