Job Description for: Position: Reporting to: Lead Technical Architect COO

1. Take ownership of the design and configuration of the Fifosys IT service delivery platform, supported client IT systems and the Fifosys internal IT system. Ensure that each is able to support delivery of the Fifosys business plan and that managed risk maps are in place. All systems must be technically appropriate, cost effective and profitable. 2. Undertake capacity management of all data centre infrastructure and general infrastructure to ensure that the businesses risk exposure is managed 3. Review and approve all sales proposals from a technical perspective and ensure that any proposed technical solution is in line with Fifosys standards and that the solution proposed is appropriate, given financial constraints imposed and that managed technical risk maps are in place. 4. Respond to tenders as and when required and assist the sales process as the technical expert for all solutions Fifosys sell. 5. Manage the technical approval process for all planned installations, upgrades and change requests including chairing of the Change Board. Ensure that appropriate technical implementation plans, test plans, and contingency plans are in place and ensure that existing systems are not compromised by any proposed changes. 6. Ensure that Fifosys maintain up to date and approved design standards, approved equipment lists, standardised configurations, test plans etc for inclusion in proposals and incorporation into project plans. 7. Recommend changes to the technical strategy to support the on-going delivery of the business plan. 8. Understand the road map of all products and solutions Fifosys offer to the client base and research into new solutions that the business should be offering to the market place.

9. Support the Sales Director through creating relevant solution sets for each target market 10. Ensure that all software, hardware and communication systems recommended for inclusion in system designs are robust, value for money and all risks of failure together with the consequences of failure have been fully identified. 11. Establish and maintain technical relationships with key supplier partners such as HP, Microsoft and Asigra. 12. Review and evaluate new products and services with a view to utilising these products in the provision of support and services to clients or for internal use; recommendations to be made to the COO to adopt such products as appropriate, including full details of costs and potential benefits; all risks of failure together with the consequences of failure must be identified 13. Support the Finance Director in producing financial models that are focused on increasing the margin of profit

14. Ensure that communication between other Fifosys teams and clients is professional, appropriate and timely. 15. Prepare reports, papers and strategy documents as needed by the COO and company Board. 16. Regularly review the technical skill sets within Fifosys to ensure that they are aligned to the current technical strategy 17. Be responsible for managing, mentoring and supporting any staff members in your team. 18. Assist the company in its primary purpose of generating profit. 19. Undertake any other duties that you may be asked to undertake from time to time.
