Editors Board: IndiaSudar is running the computer centre in many rural and semiurban areas. Our objective is to provide IT education to underprivileged students. Volunteers are required to monitor the existing project sites. If you are willing to donate used/old computers or peripherals are your friends/employer are willing to donate please contact us. We will use this to setup new learning centres and to replace some of the worn-out computers in the existing centers. Money Matters

Career Guidance Program at Gauribidanur, Dodaballapur

Indiasudar organised a Career Guidance program in Karnataka at National High School, Gauribidanur, Dodaballapur on 5th February 2011. There were about 200 students of class 10th and 25 teachers belonging to various schools from surrounding villages. In the beginning there was an interaction session with students in understanding their requirements. Students and teachers showed lot of interest. Since it was the first CG program we had lot of learning, which we are incorporating and addressing them in coming sessions. India Sudar Career Guidance booklets (Kannada version) were given to all the teachers. We would like to thank Mr. Sheshadri of National School and Indiasudar volunteers, who helped us in organizing and co-ordinating to make this event a grand success. Our sincere Thanks to all the volunteers who

made it to the event.

Guidance Program for 10th STD Students, Alkapura,Chickaballapura

[IS Karnataka] Date: 19 February 2011 Member: Raghavendra, Raghu, Ram, Tejaswini, Bhargav, Mahesh, Udhaya Kumar, Anand, Priyanka. Indiasudar organised a guidance program for 10th STD of govt high Schools near alkapura, Chikaballapura. Around 200 Students studying 10th STD in nearby schools and 30 teachers are benefited from this program. Prof Subbanna, who had earlier worked with NCERT and educational departments had conducted the 3 hour guidance session. Prof Subbanna addressed all the students and gave them tips as how to crack the 10 STD examinations. He covered all the subjects. He familiarized the students to different kind of questions they can expect during the exams and how to go about answering them. Prof gave them valuable guidance about the different things they have to keep in mind while answering the questions. Pamphlets containing information about different Careers prospects after 10th std and details about the 10th std examinations was distributed to all the participated students. The sessions were highly interactive and students cleared the doubts they had. After the sessions were over, All the subjects books including the sample questions and answers were handed over to Sri Sheshadri, the Headmaster of Chikkakurugodu. These books will be distributed to the teachers of 10 different Govt. high schools to help them in preparing the students for the exams. Apart from the question bank for each subject, there were few books from our partner organization Vidyaposhak. It includes Integrated Science and Technology and related workbooks in English medium. These books were handed over to Sri Ramachandraiah HM of Gedire Govt. High school to distribute to different Govt. high schools in Chickaballapur district. Thanks to Vidyaposhak trust for donating these books. Prof Subbanna deserves a special mention for his enthusiasm, passion and his motivation even at the age of 83. The event was successful and the India Sudars members efforts in making the event successful were highly appreciated. India Sudar thanks G C Ramachandraiah Headmaster of Gedire, Seshadri , Headmaster of Chikkakurugodu, and again the Volunteers involved for taking special interest in making this event successful Total Project Cost: Rs.5,500/ for training and materials.

Career Guidance Program at Govt Hr. Sec School Brahmapuram, Vellore [IS Tamilnadu]

Indiasudar in association with VIT Alumni Association organised a career guidance & awareness program at Brahmapuram Government Higher Secondary School. Around 250 Students of 9th & 11th STD of this school are benefited . School is situated 10 km away from Vellore town. Career Guidance is present by Mr. K Balamanikandan. At the end of the session, 16 page Career Guidance Booklet prepared by Indiasudar Career Guidance Team is distributed to all the participants. Total Project Cost: Rs.1,500/- for booklets. Our special thanks to our member Rajveer Singh, Pankaj and Archana for their initiative. We thank Prof.J. Krishna Kumar (VIT alumni officer) who made all the necessary arrangements for this event.
