Professional Qualifications Siebel Case Study SCTS systems provide services in this field of education. Currently they have a transactional reporting system which is not giving the management an analytical capability to slice and dice the course informations across dimensions. The requirement is to give the management the visibility in fees data across Time and student via dashboards. SCTS systems have decided to go with OBIEE for dashboard reporting. Enable powerful Dashboards with intuitive Graphs & Charts. The real objective was to give the management of the SCTS, the visibility to key metrics like Number of Students in a Batch Courses offered in each Branch and Fee particulars Comaprision of Branches based on Students in each batch Course Trend in each Branch

Installation of complete OBIEE Data Warehouse & ETL Involved in Data Modeling of the Data warehouse using Star Schema based on the requirements. Developed Fact, Dimension tables. Wrote ETL for population of the Fact, Dimension, and Aggregate tables using Oracle PL/SQL having OLTP as source tables.

Administration Tool (Metadata) Created Physical, Business Model and Presentation Layers of Repository with lot of custom logical calculated measures, Level based Measures based on the requirement. Created Dimension Hierarchies in the BMM layer for Product, Time and Geography Dimension. Enabled Aggregate navigation in the Business model layer. Implemented Initialization blocks to populate Session and repository variables based on requirement Enabled Caching for want of better performance and also enabled Event polling to remove stale cache. Implemented Usage Tracking to generate information on the usage of reports by the end users.

Security: Implemented Authentication using External Table. Implemented data level security using GROUP to show marks details to users based on their security setup. Implemented column level security to show only Management group based on requirement. Implemented web level security using WEBGROUP to show dashboards based on the users role.

User Interface: Created multiple Dashboards with Prompts and Reports having multiple views like Table, Pivot Table and chart. Implemented a conditional format of data and gauge charts. Created Saved Filters for all Common filters to be reused in reports. Created Conditional iBots to trigger Alerts and send email to users notifying the action to take. Implemented Navigation at report level to other set of reports.
