A clean, dry compressed air supply of 0.56m3/h (0.33cfm) is required for each litre of atomised water, at a minimum of 4.5bar (67psi). A final filter with auto drain is recommended immediately before each JS Control Panel.

Water
A mains, softened or demineralised water supply should be available at a minimum pressure of 4.0bar (58psi), with no significant fluctuation, max pressure 7.5bar (109psi). Even though the JetSpray can run with mains water, demineralised water should be used for a dust free environment, where the application demands it. Custom designed
A JetSpray AHU humidifier comprises the right number of atomising nozzles mounted onto one or more custom designed manifolds, installed across the airflow. Excellent moisture distribution is guaranteed by the choice of nozzle capacity, suitable spacing on the manifold, correct positioning of manifolds in the AHU and the capacity to change the orientation in relation to airflow. They incorporate a diaphragm-mounted self-cleaning system to prevent blockage by minerals so no internal attention is required, and Niflor-plated air caps prevent blockage by dust. Stainless steel nozzles are also available. Manifolds are in stainless steel for long life. Control panels are also designed for minimum attention and can be supplied in weather-proof housings for external use. As an added benefit, the evaporation of the water can provide up to 10C free adiabatic cooling which reduces refrigeration costs. With just one tenth of the running costs of electric steam humidifiers JetSpray control panels are failsafe water cannot flow without sufficient air to atomise the spray, an operating UV steriliser or in the event of power failure. and low maintenance requirements, JS JetSpray is the ideal solution where whole life costs are important.

Evaporation distance varies with air temperature, velocity and desired rH but, where AHU space is limited, the JetSpray Eliminator Matrix System can be installed downstream to guarantee evaporation within one metre. Unlike many other cold-water humidifiers, the JetSpray AHU system is designed with hygiene in mind. Thanks to the integral PureTec cleaning system, all nozzle line pipework is purged by compressed air when the humidifier turns off so that no water remains in the system. In addition, the water supply to the control panel is purged daily to ensure no stagnant dead-legs, even when the humidifier is off for long periods. There is no recirculation of water and no open tanks where contamination might occur. When a chlorinated mains water supply is used with no open tanks, the supply is clean. Where mineral-free water from an RO system is used, microbes are removed by hyperfiltration. As an added security, PureFlo UV water sterilisation kills off any microbes in water supplied to the nozzle line.
