CHAPTER-

INTRODUCTION OF COMPANY

1.1 NATURE OF BUSINESS:SBEM is on of the earliest pioneers in level measurements system, in 1978 and through the last quarter SBEM is leader in level measurements system. SBEMs manufactured products from the backbone for the leading private industries and public venture offering a solution to a variety of application in various industrial segment. Company has legacy of diverse solutions in solid and liquid level measurements. Indias top petrochemical, pharma, cement and other established leading industries use SBEMs products. SBEMs head office and manufacturing plant is based in Pune, an industrial hub within close proximity of Mumbai,Chennai branches spread over majour Indian cities.

SECTION AND THEIR FUNCTION:First, order came to sales department from the customer and the department confirms the order it to design department. Design department make the drawing of as per the customer requirement and make the official company drawing and then send to purchase department confirms the order and make official company drawing and then send it to the quality department. Quality department confirms the order and make the official company drawing and to purchase department.

1.3 INSPECTION DEPARTMENT:All types of material are checked here before sent it to assembly, like Capacitors, Resistors, Transformer, Electromagnetic probes

1.4 ASSEMBALLY SECTION:Various types of PCBs are assembled here, wiring making connectors varnishing of BCB this work also done in section.

1.5 TESTING DEPARTMENT:Different products PCB tested as per procedure. Faulty PCB is troubleshooted. Calibration and testing is also done in this department.

1.6 QUALITY CONTROL [Q.C]:Final productsagain checked by the Q.C if the product is ok then they declared the Q.C. is complete and the make the test and guarantee certificate to give the customer.

STUDY OF IMPORTANT DEPARTMENT

During my training period, I have worked in the few departments of the company, the details of which are given in next sections.

1. INSPECTION DEPARTMENT:Before the material is given assembly section we need to check all the electronic components, sensors, probes.

[a] MAGNETOSTRICTIVE PROBE:Basically it is used for level measurement, in industry and various purposes. The probe is used as a sensor the level which senses the level .The probe is made of carbon metal. Float is moved along the probe which is made up of pure magnate. Transducer circuit at the one end of the probe gives out in electrical form.

[1] Sensor- any level sensor. [2] Flange- it is one type of plate which is fixed with sensor. [3] Probe- it is used for senses the level. [4] Float- it is connect with the probe which moves with probe.

[b] MOV { metal oxide varistor}:It is high current and high voltage controller. It is fixing at first position on circuit. It is consisting of zinc oxide and several kinds of metal oxide. It has large peak current capability. They are for absorption of transient voltage. Its suppression of pulse noise and circuit voltage stabilization.

Application: Specification: Surge protection in consumer electronics. Automobile equipment measuring and controller system. Absorption of switching surge from various kinds of relays and electromagnetic valves. Protection of transistors, diodes, ICs thyristers.
