The productivity pipeline.

The EXCITE platform is GEs exclusive MR data pipeline optimized to handle todays higher volumes of image data. In addition to the scalable, multi-channel architecture, its unique productivity advantages include: Fast pulse sequence play-out Reconstruction up to 850 images/sec (2562 FFT) Ultra-efficient processing with dual Xeon 3.2 MHz processors Easy-to-navigate graphical interface, common to all EXCITE systems DVD media interchange to efficient handling of image data Profile EXCITE also enables fast workflow with features that enhance efficiency throughout the exam: True simultaneity Technologists can acquire, reconstruct, post-process, archive, network and film images at the same time. More room Profile has the most spacious aperture in its class 120 cm (4 ft) by 42 cm (16.5 in) and a table rated to 180 kg (400 lbs) to accommodate a full range of patients and procedures. Isocenter scanning The table slides laterally (24 cm) and longitudinally to easily position off-center anatomy in isocenter for optimal image quality.

Greater clinical flexibility.

With the Profile EXCITE system, you can offer virtually any application, from kinematic joint-motion studies to advanced neuro work to vascular imaging with interactive post-processing. Enhanced performance features include: A more robust gradient system (19 mT/m, SR46T/m/s max) to enable faster scans, thinner slices, smaller FOVs, and more slices per acquisition Even better image quality due to improved eddy current compensation and RF architecture enhancements New 6-inch General Purpose coil adding another option to the industrys largest selection of linear and phased array surface coils Advanced pulse sequences, including: Respiratory Triggered 3D SSFSE for improved MRCP image quality FIESTA Fat/Water for non-contrast MRA and MR Myelogram
