Week one and two Aldus Huxley I absolutely agree that of course we have less freedom. Think of the book 1984 they have no freedom. Soon we will be just as George Orwell predicted. We get less and less freedom every time something is passed, said, or done with our government. Today people try to fight for our rights, but even then we are punished for it. What ever happen to the first Amendment? Does it no exist anymore? What has become of our constitution? With all the restrictions on life and our freedom these days, soon we will be like robots in a world where government controls, watches, and monitors our every move. These days it is proven that no matter where you are even if there is not a cop in site, if you are speeding, you will be given a ticket and you will be caught due to satellites. Our government can watch us where ever we go. Although our government is not watched with big televisions everywhere and microphones that can hear our every word like in the movie and book of 1984 by George Orwell, we are still being watched. I do not like this thing of big Government triumphs all or that the government is bigger and better than the people. Because if the government becomes the center of our lives then we surly will have absolutely no freedom what so ever. Soon we will just all be characters living in George Orwells book. Aldus Huxley is right, our world soon will be a frightfully dictatorship one. An overview on consciousness I agree with, Consciousness talks about neurons, neurons don't talk about consciousness., as was said in the passage. So this brings me to one question and one question alone. Where does our consciousness decisions and consciousness come from? The study of our consciousness comes from the neurons, but others say otherwise. How do we get all these feelings, emotions, movements, and thoughts? For consciousness I have more questions than opinions on things. Like the passage An overview on consciousness says even the idea of neuroscience, even the idea of philosophy, even the idea of materialism must come from some source of consciousness. But who

am I to say where it comes from or how it gets there. The passage asks What comes first the Neurons or the Awareness? I personally think that the Neurons come first. The work together to bring about the Awareness. Because something must be working in order for the next step to occur. God 101: There is none? Well, I most certainly must have to disagree with everything about this God 101 magazine. I do not think that God is some fictional character, I believe he is real. Who is he to say he was not real? Was he the one who spread the blood on doors, was he a follower? No, in fact this is just another theory or another philosophical proof that someone has made to prove he is right. God is real based on the beliefs and faith of the people who believe in him. Everyone believes in something. How can he compare something to precious and holy to people, to a snickers bar. God is not a candy and nothing he did for his people involved a candy bar! How would this writer like it if everyone went against what he believed in, and what he knew to himself to be true? He probably would not like it, and then that would make him a hypocrite. Let me think on this magazine writers level, picture this. A group of three men go around and kidnap women and their children and enslave them to that they can cook and clean for other people around the world. These men sell the women and their children as slaves and laborers. Picture God as a police man who found these mens hiding place with 10 women and 15 young children. What would you want this police man to do let them continue what wrongful acts they are doing, or punish them and arrest them. Personally if it was my child or friend being hurt I would want justice. God may have done some things but to be honest there were only two times. Like in the story of Moses, the Pharaoh enslaved thousands and many times, not just two. Not every person in the world is perfect. So this writer of this magazine would be wrong, because if he or she had looked at the reason for Gods actions then he or she would see that there are two sides because it takes two to tango. How did Socrates Die? Socrates dies because he believed in freedom of speech. He made his opinions public and well heard. He was sentenced by what they called a Jury. There vision of a jury was a bunch of random men volunteering to be part of a group who got to determine his fate. His sentence was death, for what I believe to be something that was not or not fully proven. I personally do not believe that a bunch of people, whom I might add might have never been in a jury, were given the opportunity to determine someones fate. I think that there should be a set and stone jury that is dealing with cases every day and night. Because at least they know what a proper sentencing would be. He was sentenced not only for Freedom of Speech but also for not believing in and disowning the gods, and creating new ones. This has me to believe that this was not based on proof but the fact of what people thought to be true. I believe that his punishment yes was a bit much and unfair. I think if we have our own set of judges then it would be more just and fair if there was a set of jurors. Thinking on this situation how was any of his actions, facts? And how were they proven, based on the word of someone? Java Philosophy The first quote by Soren Kierkegaard brings a strong point in what he said. In the film he said I see it all perfectly; there are two possible situationsone can either do this or that. My honest opinion and my friendly advice is this; do it or do not do ityou will regret both. These Strong words, which caught my attention in the film, are agreeable. I agree no matter what you do there are always two outcomes, and one is good and one is bad. There are always two outcomes to one problem. No matter which one you do or dont do you will regret the other one because of what you did or did not do. No matter what you do or how you do it there will always be a part of that situation that you wish you had or had not done. Freedom is what you do with what has been done to you J.P.S. At first I did not understand what this meant or what it had anything to do with philosophy, but thinking on it I realized what it could me not necessarily what it does mean. I think it means whatever has been done to you take it into ever situation to determine where you stand in your own view of freedom. I personally do not understand this quote but I find it one of those things that is self studied. Which means for me everyones freedom is different because the same thing does not happen to everyone.

The Life of Pythagoras Pythagoras also known by Pythagoras of Samos and Pythagoras the Samian was born in 570 B.C on Samos Island. He lived in the era of Ancient Philosophy and the region of western Philosophy. He was a Lonian Greek Philosopher, mathematician, and the founder of a religious movement known as Pythagoreans. Pythagoras had many interests but many that were highlighted in the reading were Metaphysics, music, mathematics, ethics, and politics. He was a very well-rounded man in my opinion. Some ideas he came up with were Musica Marsalis, golden ratios, Pythagorean tuning, and Pythagorean Theorem. Pythagoras was a very well influenced man. He was influenced by Thales, Anaximander, and Phenecydes. Many of his teachers he was given were Egyptian and Oriental. The Egyptian teachers given to Pythagoras taught him geometry, Phoenicians Arithmetic, Chaldeans Astronomy, and Magrams principles of religion and practice maxims for the conduct of life. Not only was he influenced by many, but Pythagoras himself influenced many. For example Philolaos, Alcmaean, Parmeniaes, Plato, Euclid, Empedocles, and Hippasus. Some say that many use the root of Pythagoras systems which he created. After years of mentoring, creating interesting and philosophical systems, and being a historical member of philosophy he passed away in 495 B.C. at the age of 75. He passed away due to the fact that he starved himself to death after his escape to Metapontum. The Socratic Universe I would have to say that the most philosophical tradition I disagree with most, would most certainly have to be the question Does God exist? Personally, Yes I believe that God exists. Many believe that it is proven that he does not exist but based on what I believe and have experienced, it is not what questions proving scientific facts, or the proof whether he is real or not, it is the faith that I know he exists. God is not something to try to prove his existence on, but our faith and beliefs are what make Gods existence. In Chapter 6 of The Socratic Universe, many philosophers believe that he does exist. It for each person, it determined whether or not our faith is strong enough to believe. With that being said I think that trying to find proof that God exists with science is just undermining the Faith that people do have for the existence of God. For this reason I would have to personally feel that Immanuel Kant is the philosopher that I admire most. Due to his speaking of Christianity as being natural and not naturalistic. He spoke of Christianity and God as not being a supernatural or transcending belief, but possibly a true realistic belief. Other that the belief of Gods existence I would also like to address that I agree with Utilitarianism. But clarifying that I mostly agree with Rule Utilitarianism because it is mainly focusing on being more moral then that of Act utilitarianism. Compatibility A question most often asked, Are science and religion compatible? In my opinion it depends if the scientific study is driven toward more on learning of that religion, or driven toward making philosophical proofs on whether or not any part of that religion exists. It would be what is done with the scientific studies is towards. For me it would be compatible if it was toward being used as a learning tool instead of proving what someone might Think of as what they know is real. After Life: Many people view the afterlife differently but personally I believe that the afterlife is an eternal life with God, not an ending. It would be a new life beginning rather that what some might see as a life just ending with nothing after the death. Week Three A Very Special Bang Personally, I do not believe in just one theory of how the earth got here. I grew up knowing that God created this earth. I do believe that God did create this earth, but I am puzzled at times because I do believe that what he could have built this earth on. I believe that what we call the Big Bang is part of us, but it for me is just the foundation for our earth now what was put on it. I do not believe that how we got here, where we came from, and what is become of us today can be explained or proved.

Some may think that this is earth and big bang theory is provable but to tell you the truth none of us were here, therefore the first human being on this planet is the only one who knows what really happened. To be honest I do not believe in the Big Bang theory, I do not believe that it exists the way people portray it today. I believe that the big bang may have helped in some way but its unproven for sure. I think that this big bang people believe is incorrectly proven, and needs further studies. This is my opinion but I do believe it does in some way exist, its just not the only reason how we are here today. To me maybe God and the Big Bang worked together some how to get us here and to get us to where we are today. An Old-aged problem Two questions that were in the introduction that immediately caught my eye were What are truly real? And how do we know? These questions are right, and can be wrong. How do we know anything we personally believe and think we know is truly real? If you think of it how can people compare the reality of God and Science for example how come people believe science over religion but still use the letters B.C. Thinking of that how can they know for a fact that those letters do not meal Before Christ, but then again I stand corrected in the fact that how can they prove that, thats what those two letters mean. I know that the truth and beliefs can go both ways. On some level how do we know anything we learn in our daily lives is actually truly real? I do believe like so many others that what I know is true, if 1000 other people believe it too. For instance is what we physically know and see really all of what we know. Or is there something more and something not proven on a physical level. I think that more studies need to be done, to show that what is now known and seen is just the beginning and not the end of our knowledge and understanding. Charlie Rose interviews Lisa Randall Lisa Randall brought up two points that crossed my mind immediately. First was the fact the she asked Is what we see, really is all that is out there? I would have to agree with her entirely with that fact because it is true as humans we may not be able to see what is truly out there. For this reason that is why new ideas, theories, and other scientific proofs continue to be created or found. If, as humans, we saw exactly the whole truth and everything there is to see about what we see then life would be boring. It would be boring in the sense that there would be nothing new, nothing to study, and nothing that could be learned. She realizes that her studies could bring new dimensions and I agree that there definitely could be more dimensions out there, somewhere. And that we just have not seen them but possible seen them. What I mean about that is that we can look at something, but not really be looking at what we see. There is always more behind what we are physically looking at. The second point she brought up was that she though gravity was not strong. Now I am no scientist or physicists but I do not believe that gravity is the weakest. I actually believe that it is the strongest. We stand, walk, and work our daily lives every day with gravity. It is how we, as humans, can function every day. Gravity is a part of our everyday lives no matter what we are doing. So what exactly can be so much greater than an entire universe with one key element? An element that is used in our every day likes, an element that is with us every hour of every day all the time from the moment something comes into this world to the moment it leaves and then some. In my honest opinion Lisa Randall has many good theories that I agree with, but gravity being the weakest because I think it is one of the strongest, if not the strongest. Gods too decompose! Gods only excuse is that he doesnt exist- Stendhal. How does he know? The bible said, as so many others have said, God was on earth after death for three days until he ascended into heaven. And Stendhal is wrong, because he does exist. Faith and some proven FACTS have made that statement true. So what facts if any has he found that proves otherwise? And how does he know that truly Gods do too decompose? There may be no real proof on that, but I know that God himself did not decompose into dust. Take Saint Vibiana for example, when she died she did not and still is not decompose. Who might have done that for her? Who else other than God? If God

Quantum Weirdness Wow, this sounds to be like Big Brother. I do not agree with how we can be traced as easily like that. Have we no privacy or freedom. I think that with people being able to watch us like this is just another way for them to control us. They watch our every move, our every position, and they can tell where we are and when. If they can tell all this from using satellites then why is it so hard to solve murder, accidents, and other crimes. Should they not be able to determine who, when, where and the how of these things occurrence. To be I do not understand if they have so much technology like said in the first chapter, then why can we not do half the things that our technology is capable of doing. Some things in this world of technology are puzzling to me. Although I do understand many things, is still doing not which is why I have more questions than opinions or answers. Why is our technology out running humans, mentally? How do we catch up? If only our technology can find more truths, then thoughts. The Future information and Memory This magazine article is absolutely right! Someday our iphones and other devices will hold everything in the world. All the information, and possibly they might even is smarter than humans. Personally at this rate in technology, the iphone could in fact be another species. In the sense that our phones can talk, write and record and find information so quickly. They are just like us, if not smarter, and with technology they are just getting smarter and better. They hold information that soon will be so much that any question or movie or music you want will be able to be held on your phone. It would be so rare that your phone would say sim card full. Come to think of it, if our iphones will ever hold that much information then it would probably never say that. Technology and the memory amount our devices can hold is the future. It is so strong that it can be its own generation. Right now our devices can hold many gigabytes, but some day it will hold trilobites.

Week 4 Fundamentalism I personally agree with fundamentalism. From what I know about the issue. I do not know a lot on this matter therefore I cannot give an entire opinion on this topic. Possibly when I have gained more knowledge on fundamentalism I will have a better understanding and a stronger opinion. It is most certainly not some mental disease. I do believe that everyone should have their own beliefs and views but I also believe that sticking to the faith and morals of the bible are crucial. We should stress the bible in the sense help it be known again. I think that change once in a while is good but not enough to go against the bible. It is true that we should hold the essential beliefs and stories from the bible true and kept the way they are.
Sociobiology Sociobiology was introduced in Edward o. Wilsons book in 1975. It was introduced as another theory to social behavior. I do believe that is all it will be, a theory. I would like to have hoped for a fact. I do agree entirely with the part that social behaviors have been shaped by natural selection like the article said. What I do not agree with the part where social behavior is said to have been caused and determined by evolution. I would have to disagree on some level with Sociobiology. I do not believe that it can explain social behavior all too well. I believe that social behavior is genetics. I do not believe that it is from evolution. Sexual Selection I think sexual selection is a beautiful yet unusually type of selection. I think it is beautiful that one species can be attracted to the most interesting things. For example when I read they spoke of peacocks and the fins of a elephant seal. I think that it is very interesting that they are attracted to the things that are

protectful. I think that would mean that they will know that they will always be protected with their mate. I believe human attraction is similar, but also very different. women, like female animals, are attracted to things that are not only beautiful but that can also protect us. We do not get attracted to fins or feathers, like animals but we are attracted to love and security. I think thats what makes being human so amazing. Animals often look at one another and probably take time to search for the right mate. Personally I used to think that animals mated with whomever and that it was usually for life. I didnt realize till I read this part of the article that there is so much more. I didnt know that animals like humans also have fate. Edward O. Wilson A life without God? I could not compare to imagine it. Edward o. Wilson said that he moved and separated from the church and religion, as if it was just some divorce. That is why he talks of it as being false in a sense. How could he say that God is false and a result of provisional deism? He should not, because it was his decision to turn away from God and the church. Why should we? Also like every other philosopher, he believes god is just some result of evolution. Peoples faith and beliefs, believe that God is evolution. He created the earth and all thats on it. Not evolution! Did evolution put philosophers and other human beings on this planet? I personally do not think so. I do not think we grew from the dirt on the floor. I do have a strong opinion on the fact that people think evolution triumphs God.

Survival of the Sufficient

To me this is exactly the same as saying Survival of the fittest. There are a few differences, but not many. One is Survival of the fittest has to do mainly with the adaptation and changed of an environment of a species by natural selection. Survival of the fittest determines who is the strongest of that environment and who is the weakest. For example, lets say you see five animals in a jungle. A tiger, anteater, bird, snake, and rodent. No one has ever heard of these animals, but how does natural selection determine who is the strongest and the weakest? Easy, peoples first assumption is the tiger is the biggest and the bird is the weakest. That might be true but what if the tiger got bitten by the most poisonous snake in the world. Then who triumphs? So natural selection by nature decides basically who makes the cut and who doesnt. Survival of the sufficient determines what you got that can help you to make the cut. It worries about what you have as a species to determine your rank, not how well you survive in a certain environment.

Film about Truth

The truth is that the truth lies was the main message of this film. I had a hard time determining what this mean. In fact, I still am having trouble with what this quote means entirely. I do think I may know what it means. I think it means that the truth lies within us which is the truth. That you can tell a million lies but the truth will always be within us. The truth is a value to be cherished, and a value to be lost and found. When the truth lies within us, we hold our own views on whether that truth is worth sharing or not. Sometimes the truth can make us lie, because either the truth is too painful or to unbearable to say. It also can just be the fact that the truth remains within us because we just want to benefit ourselves. In a way we all in some way have a hidden truth about something that we are holding. We just cannot let it go because it could be something big or small, does not matter. It could also get us something or made us who we are as human beings today.

Selection or selected?
Natural selection to me is nature taking its course. I think it is the process in which a species is being determined its nature. It could also be determined its fate. I think that nature throws obstacles in a species way to see how strong it is no matter what conditions. Naturally selected mean pre selected to me.

I think that naturally selected means that a species comes into this world pre determined its fate or destiny. I think that Natural selection is also fairer. I do not think that a species should be pre-determined. I think of it as wrong. A species should be able to determine its own fate rather it good or bad. Also in some cases if the species cannot help itself then that is when I feel it necessary for guidance from Natural selection. I do not believe in a predetermined life, and that the planned things can always be changed no matter what the circumstances are.
11. Why does Lisa Randall believe that there may be many more dimensions than we presently know in current physics? Is there any evidence at this stage for her beliefs?

Because she believes that we are not seeing, as humans, everything that there is to see. Therefore we are and have not yet discovered everything that there is to discover. I personally do not see any evidence, but that does not mean that there is not any evidence on the issue in the near future. Lisa does talk about there being a 5th dimension, maybe the near future is nearer then I may have though.
12. What are Pythagoras' philosophical views in a nutshell?

Well Pythagoras philosophical views in a nutshell are really based on one element explains all that there is to explain. He believes that mathematics explains and solves everything. His views and theories are mainly evolved around a mathematical outlook. I personally do not believe that math is the answer to everything, there is more to life and more to lifes problems then a mathematical view for everything.
13. Do you think science and religion are compatible? Be sure to explain your answer by GIVING THE EXPLANATIONS given by philosophers who side with your position from the Socratic Universe (cite and quote when appropriate).

A question most often asked, Are science and religion compatible? In my opinion it depends if the scientific study is driven toward more on learning of that religion, or driven toward making philosophical proofs on whether or not any part of that religion exists. It would be what is done with the scientific studies is towards. For me it would be compatible if it was toward being used as a learning tool instead of proving what someone might Think of as what they know is real.

14. Why was Socrates put on trial? How did Socrates defend his position?

He was put on trial because he did not believe in and he disowned in the gods and then he created new ones. He also made his opinions well known in public, which got him in trouble.
15. Give a brief history of philosophy using just 300 words (no more). You may use an outline format, but be sure to cram as many "factoids" (facts) as possible (key names, ideas, dates, etc.).

There are many types of philosophy. First is western which is divided into five different eras. The first is ancient philosophy. It began in Greek cities in 585 B.C. Thales of Miletus founded this era. The next era is the Medieval Philosophy, which is the era known to have a concern with the nature of god and Aristotles logical theories. The third era is renaissance philosophy which is known to be the more historical era. Focusing on the middle ages and today. This era mainly emphasizes the thoughts between 585 B.C. and todays modern thoughts. The fourth is modern philosophy. Modern philosophy is mainly the 17th through the 19th century. This era is known as the age of reason. At this time it is when philosophy became more commonly known. The final era is contemporary Philosophy which is the 20th century philosophy. It is also a present era and is an era which there is more thoughts and studies being put into the more commonly complex problems of the world. Now we have moved away from western and are now entering the Eastern side of philosophy. This began in the first millennium B.C. under eastern there

are five eras. First is Babylonian Philosophy which focuses more on the wisdom of philosophers. This era was during the 8th and 7th centuries B.C. next is the Indian Philosophy era which began in 1000 B.C. to current day. This era focuses on the early philosophical ideas and thought so this world. Third era is Persian philosophy which began in 1500 B.C. this era had more focuses on political. And social problems. Fourth is Chinese philosophy which began in the era known as the Hundred schools of thought. This era focused on the intellectual and cultural developments of the world and the philosophy of china. The Final era is Buddhist philosophy which deals with more problems in ethical views. There are so many types and eras of philosophy but these are the main ones. To me, Philosophy plays a big part of our history today. Personally a part of me thinks that without it then where would we be, what questions could be asked, or what should be asked. Philosophy is one of the keys to the study of what could be or what is not real and fake. I believe that without philosophy then our history and further studies of this universe, there would be billions of unanswered questions. With philosophy and science most of those questions have been answered throughout time. Philosophy is also studies that are answered and studied using the existence and knowledge of the world.
16. Explain the big bang and the inflationary universe. Why is it important to know astronomy in order to do philosophy?

Is big bang is the theory that the earth before it became the earth used to be a hot and dense ball and then it cooled down and somehow shaped into a sphere. Then throughout the years it became what it is today. Personally I do not believe in the big bang I believe in a higher power. The inflation is the expansion that the universe had after the cooling of the big bang. The inflation was the shape of our world and shaped it in what it is today. The inflationary universe is the final stage of the Big Bang. In order to understand the philosophy of the world and the way it works you need to understand the astronomy of the world. The astronomy of the world is the basic view of the world. If we do not understand the view of the world or what it looks like then how will we be able to understand anything about the world around us. Without the basic knowledge of astronomy then the understanding of philosophy we have is basically invalid until we know for a fact that what we think is actually true.
17. How do Heisenberg's views on philosophy and science DIFFER from Einstein's? How are they similar?

Well they are both similar in the sense they both believe in the quantum theory and quantum mechanics. Einstein believes god plays no dice and Heisenberg believes otherwise. Heisenberg also believes that god does exist and Einstein does not believe that he exists. In fact Einstein believes that god is a figure of speech to the world. Heisenberg believes in the theory of uncertainty an Einstein does not believe.

18. What is meme theory and do you find it plausible? Explain your reasoning.

The meme theory is basically the spreading of culture. It is something or someone spreading a culture from person to person and era to era. I find it completely plausible in every way. What would be like today if nothing was spread, no cultures, nothing? Life would be different in every way. We may not of even had a political view like we do today, or we might not have had the different views and thoughts and arguments like we have today. I think that the meme theory plays a huge part in our culture and way of life today, without it we are opinion less ,and option less.
19. Why is understanding biological evolution so important in understanding human thought and behavior. Be sure to cite Wilson and Dawkins and Darwin when appropriate.

It is important to understand biological evolution because it is the future knowledge genetic wise, to the human thought and behaviors. With every new generation there is a new type of behavior with every human or species and every human and species has their own way of thinking.
20. in one of the films you were required to see, the narrator argued that fundamentalism was a mental disease. Why? Do you agree or disagree and please detail your rejoinder.

I personally am against fundamentalism and do think it is a mental disease. I think this because I think everyone should have their own principles toward thinks especially their religion and personal views. I do not believe everyone should have to go back to fundamental views.
21. Where do you think Owen Gingerich "parts company" (fundamentally disagrees with) Edward O. Wilson? Who do you think is more persuasive in their reasoning about religion, Owen or Edward? Explain.

I would have to say I think Wilson was more persuasive in his reasoning about religion over Owen. I felt this because Wilson has more details and thoughts toward the topic then Owen did. Owen for me did not put as much detail and thought, he was very vague I should say.
22. What does Francis Fukuyama mean by the "end of history." Do you agree or disagree? Explain.

Personally I do not disagree nor agree with the end of history. I do feel as though history is being lost through what we now know but at the same time history is still present and being continued. I am not entirely sure on this statement nor do I have a strong enough opinion on it to fully explain whether I do disagree or do not.
23. Explain Nicholas of Cusa's philosophy of "unknowingness."

Nicholas of Cusas philosophy of unknowingness reminds me of Lisa Randall, and what she had said about there is so much more then we see. Because it is true that there is so much that we do not know, and that unknown exists. We just have not yet found it.
24. according to Nietzsche, how did we actually "kill" God? Think before you leap on this one.

Im not really sure I understand this statement, but I am going to try. Maybe it is the fact that we have outgrown god in a sense, that people are losing faith in him and some have stopped believing. Some also say God is made of the faith in people. If we lose that faith then there is no more God. God is in a way being forgotten by some people and he is being killed in a sense that he is no longer existent to some people.
25. in the movie, Little Things that Jiggle, physics is explained by a series of slogans. Why, then, is physics important in the study of philosophy? Substantiate your answer.

Like I had read physics was known as natural philosophy.. This means in order to fully understand what we do not know, our thoughts, and theories we need to understand the world around us. In order to do that we focus on the features of the earth and what its made of. Physics helps us understand the matter and motion of the world so that we can better understand the philosophy of the world.
26. How do you explain the following line, "To have freedom OF religion one must also have freedom FROM religion."

At first reading this I was confused and thought I would be unable to answer, but reading it again I have a pretty good idea. For me this means that in a religion we are confined into following certain customs. We

do not think of things that are outside our religion or get to think freely. To be religiously free means we can think outside of what we know and are not tied down to anything. Personally I have faith and can think freely in a life with religion, but it is not always easy. It is true that if you do think outside what you should not, then people can judge you easily on what you think because it is not the way they think.
27. Why does Dawkins believe that believing in God is delusional?

Darkwins thinks that god does not exist and that he is a false belief. He thinks that anyone who believes in god, believes in something false and unreal. He does not believe in the existence of god or that there is or ever was a god. He also thinks of god as a supernatural figure. 28. Can science offer a sense of mystery comparable to what certain religions offer? Personally, no I do not think it can offer a sense of mystery. Science is based on what someone thinks is the truth, even if it is not always the right truth. Religion offers a mystery that not many people can solve, because it is faith based not always finding out the truth.
29. How does an understanding of cellular automata suggest a "new kind of science".... according to Stephen Wolfram.

Stephen Wolframs A new Kind of Science says that he believes that his cellular automata systems help him argue that it is the newest and better way to understand the relevance to different fields of science.
30. What were the key turning points in Darwin's life?

I personally think it was the voyage on the beagle. Darwin once said that The voyage of the Beagle has been by far the most important event in my life, and has determined my whole career. On his five year journey he found many things. Along with Darwins notes they helped him with his ideas and theories of philosophy after his voyage.
31. What is spooky physics? And who do you think won the Einstein/Bohr debate? Explain your reasoning.

Spooky Physics is about a debate between Bohr and Einstein about what they do agree and disagree with about Quantum weirdness. They debate using a card game and dice. They explain it that way and also explain it in turns of philosophical views they each carry about the topic. I think that Bohr won the debate because he sees a greater picture. He sees that there is a god in the universe that plays a part of how we understand the world of physics. Einstein did not believe in any God. And I do think that Bohr is completely right that God does play a part into todays physics.
32. What is evolutionary philosophy and how can it best explain the emergence of self-reflective awareness?

Evolutionary philosophy is the way of connecting evolution to how we live, interact with the world and how we think. It connects with how we think about ourselves, and our place in the world. Evolutionary philosophy connects to self-reflective awareness by us looking within and reflects on what our minds are discovering. Evolutionary philosophy is combined with what we are being aware of because both are the same in several ways.

God is real based on the beliefs

and faith of the people who believe in him.

2. The Future information and Memory

This magazine article is absolutely right! Right now our devices can hold many gigabytes, but some day it will hold trilobites
