The I/O module contains eight relays, as well as three switched 24V outputs and an entrance for an external Push button or switch. A micro CONTROLLER activate the relays, the 24V outputs, the push button input and communicates with the control panels. Block Diagram
Voltage supply The 24V input voltage is led across a polarity protection diode, a throttle and filter capacitors on an electrically isolating DC/DC transducer. The transducer supplies 5V for the micro CONTROLLER and the control and monitoring of the OPC exits. The 24V supply voltage is connected with the +5V output of the DC/DC transducer. The digital ground of the circuit rests upon thereby - 5V related to the 24V Operation voltage. The RS485 driver and the associated circuit are supplied via a step down automatic controller with 5V. RS485-Driver The communication is made by a RS485 driver. The driver lies with its mass on 24v-gnd and is therefore galvanically over opto couplers from the micro CONTROLLER and the other circuits separate.

The relays are driven by the micro CONTROLLER over a level conversion. The level conversion is made by a fixed currant by means of one transistor each in basic circuit. The currant is determined by the emitter resistance. The relays are as contactors with 10A permanent current to lay 15A starting current (0,5s) and a rated voltage out of 220V and are programmable for fire alarm, fault alarm, voltage failure. The activation can be delayed in relation to the releasing event.
The output interfaces are design as a short circuit proof open collector outputs with maximum 1A. In the case of short-circuit the loop is switched off and restarted after approximately 3s. Additionally each output keeps an insert able parallel source current limited on 8mA for the examination of a 3k Ohm end of line resistor. Two outputs are assigned to the fire alarm. The outputs can as continuous or interval signal to be programmed. One output is used to connect a door magnet selectable by a fire loop.
Current limiting and short-circuit protection The micro CONTROLLERS switch the currant on over the transistor VX18/38/58. The base currant for the transistor V113/133/153 is determined over the resistance R127/147/167. During excess of the maximum currant (approx. 1,1A) the transistor catches V114/134/154 on currant to pull. The following transistor V125/135/155 strengthens the signal and the following transistor VX16/36/56 takes off a part of the basis currant from transistor V113/133/153 and output currant is limited.

The module contains an input for the connection an external push button. The voltage supply for the input becomes secured against short-circuits. The voltage amounts to in the no-load operation 24V. The input switches the bell outputs on manually. With pressed key the bell outputs are switched on. After disconnection of the button the outputs are again turned off.
Inputs of up to 8 fire detection lines according to the current reinforcement principle. Pot free outputs for each fire detection loop max of 500 mA. Expandable up to 3 modules (24 loops)
General The module contains eight fire detection loops and eight pot free outputs witch can be programmed for fire- fault alarm or both. Two micro CONTROLLERS operate and supervise the fire detection loops and outputs and communicate with the control Panel.

Is no at a loop of attached fire detector activated the quiescent current over the attached 3k Ohm resistance is actively examined and in the event of an error to the control Panel announced. The individual loops are short-circuit-supervised. In the case of short-circuit the loop is switched off and restarted after approximately 3s. The maximum reporting loop currant of a loop amounts to 400mA. The sum of all reporting loop currant (after release of several loops) may not exceed 1,6A. The total value of current exceeded by 1,6A switches off the Microcontroller the loop with the largest currant.
The pot free outputs are switching a currant of max 500mA. Every four outputs are connected with common contact.

Usually built in the visible desk plate of the control desk of the Commando Bridge. Text display is background-lit, readable also during sun exposure, 2 lines with 20 letters each. All buttons and Fire, fault indicators are background-lights up.
General In direct proximity of the fire alarm system is attached the Main panel. Hereby the FMS-3000 can be observed and operated. The connection of maximally 2 repeater panels in up to 500 meters distance is possible. The Main Panel contains one LC display (2 lines to ever 20 letters), 10 keys, 40 LEDs and a Buzzer for acoustic signalling. In order to be able to adapt the LEDs optimally to the locally dominant lighting conditions, the intensity is adjustable. The adjustment of the contrast and the background lighting is just as flexible in the case of the display.

Optional it is possible to have up to 2 repeater panels. The repeater panel can be installed at a distance of up to 500m far away from the plant. Special version: Sometimes the necessity exists for a further operating or repeater panel. This is connected in the 24V/RS-485-Bus behind the first repeater panel. Voltage supply The 24V input voltage is led across a polarity protection diode, a throttle and filter capacitors on an electrically isolating DC/DC transducer. The transducer supplies 5V for the micro CONTROLLER. The 24V GND connection is connected with the 5V-GND connection of the DC/DC transducer. The digital mass of the circuit lies thereby on 24v-gnd. The LEDs are supplied via pre-resistors and PWM voltage regulator with 24V. Display The display is controlled via 8-bits a data bus as well as over R-S, RW and E (Clock) by the micro CONTROLLER.
LEDs The LEDs are divided in two groups (alarm and normal). The groups are independent of each other in the brightness controllable. But two PWM voltage regulator made of RC element with following transistor switching are used. Two LEDs in the group "alarm" are in each case switched one behind the other. Because in the group "normal" also individual LEDs are headed for, it is necessary to operate also two LEDs parallel in order to achieve an even brightness over the dimming range.
Buttons The button lines are over pull-up resistances on digitally high. With pressed key the line is drawn on digitally 0.
Buzzer The Buzzer is switched over a driver transistor and over a haven line of the micro CONTROLLER. For an external Buzzer a 24V interface is intended.

3.2 Indicator and operation elements The Main panel and the repeater panel differ in the indicating and control elements. The repeater panel possesses only locally limited characteristics. Confirming and resetting alarms are not made possible. The repeater panel announces itself when switching on with the text:
. .. FMS-3000HIT
Only the Main panel is to be switched able the detection loops and switching outputs of the plant. The power-up message of a main panel is: . FMS-3000 ..
In the case of an alarm can this exclusively by the Main panel confirmed and resettet. The announcement of the alarm conditions takes place on all panels identically. To the condition and alarm display are intended an acoustic signal generator (buzzer), an LCD announcement and two lit key fields with the labels FIRE and Fault. Occurrence an appearance of several fire alarms at the same time the red LED ALARM IN SEQUENCE shines.

Illustration: the main program after opening the FMS3000.exe file The com port where the Fire alarm panel is connected can be selected as: COM1- COM4 depending on the used com port. After selection the com port the PC has to be connected to the Power supply module NM-01E of the FMS3000. The FMS300 must be operating at this time. To initialise the communication press the button Connect COM.. . Thereafter the counter RX are counting the data packages (RX: .. Pakete; left lower side). Now you have to create a new project or open a existing project with the file Project/New or Project/Open. Please note that one project name has maximum 14 letters. All modules are working independently from each other but they are use the same database for one project.

These options can install DLLs depending upon surfaces to vary. Direct jumping from a module to the next one is not possible; please you close only the momentarily active module

The option Output toggle switches the output to a intermitted signal. The option Output locked will be disabling to switch of the selected outputs on the Main panel. This function is necessary in order to avoid that the operator of the system will switch off some important outputs e.g. VDR or General alarm.
For the fast adjustment of the time the Button Time adjust to be used.
