Environmental Precautions

Restrict access to area until completion of cleanup. Stop leak if you can do so without risk. Contain by dicing with soil or other non-combustible absorbent material. With clean shovel, carefully place material into clean, labeled, ridged, plastic or plastic coated, dry container and cover; remove from area. Comply with all applicable governmental regulations on spill reporting, handling and disposal of waste. Avoid contact with eyes, skin, clothing. Avoid breathing dust or mist. Store in cool (20 C), dry and well ventilated area. Protect containers from physical damage. Polyaluminium chloride solution should be stored ideally in plastic (PE,PP,PVC) or fiberglass vessels. Other tanks (eg. Mild steel, galvanised steel) must be lined with anti-corrosive material. Keep containers tightly closed when not in use. Always obey hazard warning and handle empty containers as if they were full. Handling and storage area requires safety shower and eye bath. Use in well ventilated area to minimize exposure.
