SystemDiagnostics Overview
SystemDiagnostics Overview
SystemDiagnostics is a diagnostic tool that helps you find and eliminate problems on your computer. There are four functions available to you for this purpose: Quick analysis In this quick test, all the hardware components on your computer are tested in a short time (approx. 5 minutes).
Detailed analysis This test routine is used for in-depth testing of the hardware components. The test lasts several hours.
User-guided analysis This test routine is used to test various hardware components. During the process, the tests require input and assessments by the user.
Computer details This function provides information about the computer on which SystemDiagnostics is installed.

Prerequisites
One of the following operating systems must be installed for the installation of SystemDiagnostics: Windows XP with Service Pack 2 or higher Windows Vista Windows Server 2003 Windows 7
Installing/deinstalling SystemDiagnostics
How to install SystemDiagnostics: Double-click on the file SystemDiagnostics_setup.exe. Follow the instructions on the screen.
How to deinstall SystemDiagnostics: or Select Deinstallation in the program group SystemDiagnostics. Deinstall the program with the help of the Windows functions (Control Panel/Add or Remove Programs).
Analysis
Analysis
There are three analysis options: The quick analysis is used to test the hardware components of your computer in a short time. The detailed analysis is used for in-depth testing of the hardware components of your computer. The test can lasts several hours. The user-guided analysis is used to test additional hardware components of your computer. These tests require input and assessments by the user.
In all three cases, the results of the test are displayed. If problems have occurred, you are shown options for resolving them.
During the test, the screen may flicker or become darker. If the CD/DVD drive is to be tested, please insert a functioning CD/DVD (not an audio CD).
To interrupt the test, click on the Pause button. The test is interrupted and can be re-activated with the Continue button. To stop the test of a previously selected component, click on Skip test. To stop the ongoing analysis, click on Cancel all tests.
Results
The results of the analysis are automatically displayed as follows: The hardware components which were tested without any errors are displayed. If it was not possible to test a hardware component, these components are listed first. If an error occurred in a hardware component, this is shown first in the list.

Eliminating Errors
Hardware components have undergone the test without any problems Hardware components may undergo the test without problems but your system still only functions with errors. Or Or Start the User-guided analysis to test other components. Start the Detailed analysis in order to pinpoint the errors. Check the configuration of your software. Some software products may interfere with each other.
Hardware component could not be tested If it was not possible to test a hardware component, you are shown possible reasons why the test was not possible. Eliminate the causes and test the component again by selecting the specific component in the list of hardware components to be tested.
Hardware component is faulty If a hardware component is faulty, a distinction is made between two error types: Errors you can correct yourself Errors you can correct with the help of the customer service centre
Errors you can correct yourself Click on the lamp symbol of the faulty component. A new dialog window opens with information on how to resolve the problem in the faulty component.
Errors you can correct with the help of the customer service centre Make a note of the displayed DIFS code and the displayed serial number of the faulty component. Click on the lamp symbol to obtain more information. A new dialog window opens with a list of customer service telephone numbers which you can call to receive help for the hardware problem.
