Networking Opportunities was fantastic, this was the highlight of conference in my opinion (Jeff Yarnell, Parker Vision Inc)
HSDPA is market reality today. GSA reports that HSDPA has achieved significant traction amongst 3G/WCDMA operators worldwide. 100 HSDPA network deployments, an increase of 100% in 6 months, are planned or in implementation in 43 countries. It means that 75% of 105 operators who have commercially launched 3G/WCDMA services have committed to the HSDPA evolution in their networks.
HSDPA services will launch across Asia Pacific in 2006-07 and will gain momentum in 2008-09 with the arrival of a wide range of compelling handsets, says Mike Roberts, principal analyst at Informa Telecoms & Media and co-author of the report Future Mobile Broadband: HSPA, EV-DO, WiMAX & LTE. Overall we expect HSDPA to become the dominant 3.5G mobile broadband technology in Asia-Pacific, accounting for 63% of 3.5G subscribers in the region by 2010."
