For the summer of 2011, I was a leaflet distributor for a Galway Car Service business. I delivered leaflets to promote the business in the Galway are a. 2. I was a shop assistant and Deli assistant in my old secondary school from September 2009 - June 2010. I ordered stock, served customers, controlled c ash and i operated the tills. Regarding the deli, i prepared rolls and salads an d waited on teachers and students in the canteen. I was in charge of answering t he phones when it involved ordering the stock etc. I was also employed to work i n the Deli for after school events, such as Parent Teacher Meetings or School Me etings where I would serve the parents/teachers food. 3. I have a large interest in becoming a teacher so I was a classroom as sistant as part of my Link Modules programme (2008- 2010) I was given permission to take a couple of days off school each month to observe the work of teachers in a Primary School environment. The teachers gave me tasks of responsibility wh en it came to minding the class while the teacher had errands to run, correcting homework or assessments and also helping the children with their subjects durin g the day. 4. Due to my high interest in sport, I was selected to coach a class of 28 students from the year group of 1st Years, volleyball. I was required to trai n them and then select a team of six from the 28 that I felt would go far in the All-Ireland Nation Volleyball Blitz. My chosen six won the entire competition!! (Jan 2008 - March 2008) 5. As my work experience in Transition Year, (December 2008) I worked as a sales assistant in Davis' Chemist in Fairview, Dublin. I cleaned the chemist daily, sorted stock, operated the cash till and serving customers. I was also gi ven the responsibility of serving specific customers their dosage of Methadone. I am very determined, I enjoy a challenge and will always strive to reach my goa ls. I'm a sociable and caring person, I enjoy meeting people and I like to make people feel at ease.
