Ardleigh Sailing Club Forum Rules (Test Only) 1.

General Rules

Post in the correct forum, if you do not post in the appropriate forum your post will be moved or deleted. Use a descriptive topic subject, this aids others in finding topics that interest them. Topics with inappropriate or bad subjects may be amended. Research your post to ensure you are not double posting. Use the search facility first to ensure the question you are asking has not been answered before time and time again. Whilst debate and discussion is fine, rudeness, insults, trolling, personal attacks, flaming, spamming, flooding and purposeless inflammatory posts will not be tolerated. Please criticise ideas, not people. The posting of material which is vulgar, defamatory, threatening, sexually oriented/explicit/offensive, objectifying, racist, politically or religiously sensitive or violates any other laws shall not be tolerated. Links to warez, warez sites or sites with pornographic or objectionable content (as deemed by forum staff, or by UK Law) is not acceptable. Third Party Material. Content copied from other sites and re-presented here that is not the legal property of the post author must include a link back to the source material, and credit to the original author. It is preferable for posters to link to the original content rather than replicate it here. Respect the privacy of others. Do not post other's phone numbers, addresses, pictures, etc., without their permission. Don't dig up old threads, if you wish to continue an old discussion (older than 1 month) please create a new thread and reference the old thread in your post. No blatant advertising, this forum is not free advertising space. Politics and Religion, This is not a political or religious discussion site, please give consideration to any issue that can be considered as political or religious as someone will always be offended. Do not post using Cap Lock. Posts where the subject or post contains blocks of capitalised letters will be amended or deleted at the discretion of forum staff. Words all in capitals are not only annoying but are 50% slower to read than normal writing. Linking to content You may not hotlink or use any content from the forum or any of the clubs website(s), on any other website without prior permission. This includes: logos, avatars, smilies, pictures from the gallery, post, etc.

Items for Sale You must be a fully paid up member, to post items for sale. You must have a minimum of 10 posts or PM a moderator or administrator for permission to post FIRST. You must post a price and if relevant a postage price. Just the word Offers is not acceptable, a guide price must be entered. You should (where possible) attach a picture to the thread. You may only sell your own items. ie No selling third party items Once the item is sold, you must change the thread title to include the words - SOLD Infractions If you are found breaking any of the rules as stated above. you will depending on the severity of the infringement be o Given a "Yellow Card" 3 Yellow cards will result in a "Red Card" and a 30 day ban from the forum 6 Yellow cards will result in a 1 year ban from the forum o Given a "Red Card" this will result in a 30 day ban from the forum a further "Red Card" will result in a 1 year ban from the forum o Banned Permanently. o A serious breach of policy may, if you are club member, result with expulsion from the club.
