Network Module

New in Dynasim 4: Network Module

Its now possible to associate any type of information to the trajectories traffic counts, road name, road type, Tolls)

New in Dynasim 4: Network Module

Dynasim now allows to simulate accidents and their impact on traffic. Its possible to associate the new incident object to any trajectory, specifying duration (start time/end time) and affected vehicle type(s).

New in Dynasim 4: Network Module

Dynasim now allows to simulate the impact and effectiveness of Variable Message Signs (VMS) Its possible to define different reactions to events Dynasim will reroute the vehicles affected by the information Fundamental tool for the evaluation of ITS alternatives

Flow Module

Flow Module
Demand is defined by vehicle type Dynasim offers a set of vehicle categories User can define own vehicle categories, defining:
Type Motion Dimensions 2D and 3D features Cinematic and Dynamic parameters (Acceleration, deceleration, reaction time, )

Flow Module Generator

The Standard Dynasim approach, where the demand is quantified by an ordered set of origin-destination matrices Origin-destination matrixes are defined in accordance with all OD type vehicle categories Dynasim allows to import/export set of tables

New in Dynasim 4: Flow Module Subnetwork

New in Dynasim 4 A new feature, extremely useful for analyzing how an intersection works by reducing the calculation times. This method does not consider the interactions with the global network's elements, which are outside the Subnetwork.

New in Dynasim 4: Flow Module Export/Import

New in Dynasim 4 The purpose of the Export/Import scenario is to associate Dynasim with Cube Base and Voyager and to import all or part of the assignment results to carry out a micro-simulation of the network The network generated by Dynasim can be used in Cube. The paths computed in Cube can then become input to Dynasim

New in Dynasim 4: Flow Module Estimation

New in Dynasim 4 One of the most interesting new features! The estimation scenario calculates and assigns traffic flows so that they comply with the constraints associated with:
traffic counts Tolerances

It is possible to use traffic counts:

section traffic count directional traffic count

Signal Module
User has total control of the signals It is possible to model any signal plan:
Fixed cycle Actuated cycle Ramp Metering

It is possible to model
Classic European signals. Ring-Based U.S. signals. Socket Signals controlled by an application external to Cube Dynasim.

New in Dynasim 4: Signal Module

Integration with the UTOPIA system (developed by MIZAR/Swarco) UTOPIA is an adaptive traffic control system designed to optimize flows and give selective priority to public transport without sacrificing travel times for private traffic.

PT Module
It is possible to simulate any Public Transport system. Public Transport properties:
Frequency Time table

Detailed Transit Stop

New in Dynasim 4: PT Module

In Dynasim 4 it is now possible to simulate stop to stop matrices of a PT system . Dynasim will automatically compute the dwell time and stop time, based on :
Boarding Alighting Demand on the platform

This allows to simulate the impact of different layouts of PT systems:

Impact of the position of access/egress doors Double/single doors

Ideal to simulate
Tramways Subways Trains

Parking Simulation in Dynasim

Parking Simulation in Dynasim

Recent feature of Dynasim (add on to the Dynasim Pro version): It makes possible to describe from very simple to extremely big parking areas Models with up to 6000 parking places have already been developed with Cube Dynasim

Parking Simulation in Dynasim

Reaching the envelope, each vehicle will try to find a parking space Its possible to associate Parking Attractors to the different Parking Envelopes Vehicles entering the Parking Envelopes will try to optimize the final location based on :
the location of the Parking Attractors Minimization of the walking distance

Parking Simulation in Dynasim

In case a vehicle does not find an available parking space:
It will turn around the envelope and continue looking for a parking space It will choose a new envelope, that means reach this new envelope and then look for a new parking space.

It is possible to specify a visibility parameter, for each alley

Parking Simulation in Dynasim

Parking areas can be preloaded, so to be able to simulate, for instance, a PM peak hour considering the real occupancy at the beginning of the simulation It is possible to specify, for each parking envelope, minimum/maximum/average parking time It is possible to simulate Multi Storey Car Parks:
specify rules about their attractiveness the way the different levels are used.

Dynasim 4 Output Data, Statistics Database

The results of the simulation are stored in a database (Dynasim.db file) This is an SQL database Using a specific driver it is possible to establish a connection between SQL database and any other applications (Excel/Access)

Data stored in tables

New in Dynasim 4: save as shape files

Dynasim 4 allows to export statistics results as shape files, so to create static maps of the Dynamic simulation

New in Dynasim 4: the Flow Box

Dynasim allows to define some areas where to record, for each simulation:
Turning volumes Flows on links Per vehicle type

Dynasim creates, for each simulation, different EPS files that can be imported in reports, such as in Microsoft Word.

Dynasim 4 Animations and videos

Simulation animations and data may be exported to a DynaViews EXE file (Exported simulations may be freely distributed).
Play animations at any speed. Zoom, pan, and navigate within the animations.

Simulation animations can be recorded on the fly to AVI files (2D views and 3D views). Zoom, pan, and navigate while recording the videos.
