Developing Spatial Database: On screen digitizing from toposheet, Feature
segregation, storing attributes.

Evaluation: completeness, quality, accuracy.

6-7 Assignment 2:
Toposheet: Editing finalizing and re-production
Transforming topo to real world coordinates and joining with adjoins, Printing

Evaluation: quality, accuracy.

8 Exercise 5: Tabular data and basic queries

9 Exercise 6: Spatial queries

10 Exercise 7: Measurement Operations

Final Assessment 30% (may not be formal viva-voce only,


rather a presentation on final project)

Notes
• Every weekly class will have a lecture and corresponding practical with computers
• Since class schedule is provided earlier, it is expected to have minimum preparation by all
students
• For digital submission students are responsible to put their ‘work’ in right place (pc, folder etc)
by right time. Data format must be identical to ‘project brief’.
• Report is to submit to the discipline office in time.
• If any student remain absent in any assessment ‘ceremony’, s/he will get ‘0’ as grade.
• There will be deduction on the achieved grade for any delayed submission.
• For ‘hartal’ or ‘strike’ on any ‘evaluation’ day, the evaluation will shift to the next day NOT
next week
• If any student is found to adopt any unlawful means in lab-test or quiz or projects, the only
minimum possible punishment is ‘F’ grade in this course.
