Advent Giving Tree: Mary Anne Cecil has agreed to organize this annual effort to provide gifts for local children whose families qualify for assistance. Our parish will have the needs/wishes of 25 children for your selection check the bulletin for more information about the schedule to get the childrens lists and when to return the gifts. Parish Council: Nominations for representatives to serve the next 3-year term on the Parish Council will be accepted until November 30th. Those nominated must be registered parishioners who are over the age of 18. Nomination forms can be found in the back of church and can be dropped in the collection or in the Mail Slot outside the Parish Office. Knights of Columbus Chicken Dinner: Invite your friends and family to the monthly chicken dinner prepared by the K of C, on Sunday, 11/20. For $7.50 per person, enjoy fried chicken, delicious side dishes, dessert and a beverage. 2011 Catholic Service Appeal - Bringing Christ to Others: As of November 15th, our parishioners had donated $2,140, or 57 % of our goal of $3,750.00. You may still make a donation to the annual Catholic Services Appeal and please remember that no gift is too small. Gifts can be made online or with the envelopes in the back of church. Thank those of you who have already responded with a donation. Community Thanksgiving Service: Join members of our community at the Taylorsville United Methodist Church on Sunday, November 20th at 7:00 PM. The offering will go to the Spencer Co. Ministerial Associations annual Toy Sale. Seasonal Decorating: Volunteers are needed to decorate the outdoors and set up the Giving Tree before the start of Advent. This has been scheduled for Monday, November 21st at 6:30 contact Connie Eisenback for more information. Rosary and Communion Service: Since we are having Mass on Thanksgiving morning, it was decided to suspend the Wednesday evening prayers for this week, November 23rd. Consider praying the Rosary at home with your family. Thanksgiving Day Mass: Start your day with a Mass of Thanksgiving at 8:30 AM please bring a non-perishable food item for the Spencer County pantry. Volunteers are needed to change out the missalettes after Mass. Lector Workbooks: Readers and Catechists are asked to pick up your copy of the 2012 Workbook on the table near the Cry Room and to check your name off the list. If you wish, bring your old book back to be recycled. Parish Office: The office will be closed from noon on Wednesday, November 23rd, until Monday, November 28th.

Paul as our Pastor on Sunday, November 27th, at 11:30. After Mass, we will have a celebration and potluck meal. The Parish will provide the meat, rolls and beverages, and you are asked to bring your favorite side dish to share. There is a sign-up sheet in the back of church to indicate how many in your family will be attending, and to designate the type of side dish you will provide the deadline is Sunday to enable us to order the meat. Contact Mary Anne Cecil to volunteer to help or if you have any questions. This is a great opportunity to meet the Archbishop and welcome him to our parish. Religious Education for Children: After our Family Advent session on Sunday, November 20th, we will take a Thanksgiving weekend break on November 27th.
