The faithfulness and work of God in the lives of our med students as represented by this picture of our students on mission in Haiti.

Dear Ministry Partner,

The other morning in my morning devotions I was reading from the Life Application Bible notes in conjunction with 1 Samuel 12. I encourage you to read this chapter today. The chapter recounts Samuel's "retirement party". And with it are Samuels parting remarks as he walks off the stage from his public prophetic ministry. In the chapter, Samuel spends a lot of time recounting God's goodness and covenant faithfulness to His people. Here are a few excerpts... V. 7 Now stand here quietly before the LORD as I remind you of all the great things the LORD has done for you and your ancestors. Vs. 21-24 Dont go back to worshiping worthless idols that cannot help or rescue youthey are totally useless! The LORD will not abandon his people, because that would dishonor his great name. For it has pleased the LORD to make you his very own people. As for me, I will certainly not sin against the LORD by ending my prayers for you. And I will continue to teach you what is good and right. But be sure to fear the LORD and faithfully serve him. Think of all the wonderful things he has done for you. Now here are the comments from the Life Application Bible: Samuel reminded the people to take time to consider what great things God had done for them. Taking time for reflection allows us to focus our attention upon God's goodness and strengthens our faith. Sometimes we are so progress- and future-oriented that we fail to take time to recall all that God has already done. Remember what God has done for you so that you may continue your life accompanied with gratitude. We have spent a lot of time and energy in CMDA Atlanta pushing forward many ministry goals and objectives mission trips, fundraising banquet, student ministry, Resident fellowship, etc.... But let us not forgot that in the midst of our planning, preparation and implementation of the various ministry objectives and opportunities, what God has done in the past as well. We have a lot to recall, remember and be thankful for.

When the Israelites entered into the promise land, they remembered Gods faithfulness by stacking 12 stonesmaking a physical remembrance that they could later recall. -Joshua 4
