Reflection on my telecommunication survey

Research question: How do video games affect you? Part 1:

Well Lukas and I weren't here to make the research question but we thought that video games had negative side effects and positive side effects and we wanted to see if other people think video games are good for us or bad for us so we came up with different types of questions that all were either saying good things or bad things about video games and we saw if people agreed or disagreed with them. Instead of making the survey about how video games affect your relationship with your family or friends we made the survey a lot more about how it affects you personally or how you think your friends that play video games behave if you dont play video games. At first we thought we would go for a very wide spread survey asking people from year 7 to year 10 to get answer for different age groups and how you see video games when your 15 or 12. But then we learnt we werent a loud to do that because people in older year levels have tons of work and they dont want someone spamming them with surveys so we changed it to year 8 to see how the different classes got affected by video games. But then we didnt send the surveys on time so we ended up getting results from the majority of 8a. If we did the survey again I think we would use more textboxes to see what people really think about video games and not just ticking tons of boxes. Then I think we could use at least one different age group to see the different in ages think. To make our survey a lot better I think we could send it out earlier to get lots of responses instead of 20 which was the amount that we got this time. Part 2: I was surprised at the results from the survey. Results things seemed to come out pretty half and half I thought all the results would be negative. People seem to think that video games can have a handful of positives and negatives I think that based on peoples comments in the future video games might not hurt your eyes so that addiction becomes higher because there is no reason to stop playing except for important tasks causing worse addiction which nobody except the big companies

I think if the change that I discussed in the last paragraph then it will be a threat to our social life with people sitting in front of screens instead of talking to their friends or having a social life and the closest things people would do together is play video games together. On the other hand there are always a bunch of people that dont get addicted and never hurt their eyes in the first place because they dont play too much and things like school and work means addiction can only happen on weekends and holidays. People thought that video games could help multitasking and following instructions but affect your eyes and cause addiction so people thought that change in telecommunications could be better for

somethings and worse, although addiction was higher rated than the good things so people think that addiction is a very important change in telecommunications people didnt really get addicted to playing board games or playing outside like they do to video games.

Comment [JH4]: Yes your right.
