Boildings

On all Iloors the main horizontal cable routes are designed to run along suspension
steel cable troughs installed under the ceiling or in the space between the
soIIit and ceiling itselI. From there the cables are to be installed in plastic and steel
tubes.
Ootside boilding
The route is planned underground in the roadway and sod ding. The HDPE tube
will be added to rout. All earthwork must be done manually. The situation oI excavation
is shown on the situation drawing. The HDPE tube will be laid in a 35/80 cm
trench, on a cable sand bed. When laying HDPE tube, the minimum bend radius oI
2m must be respected in order to prevent any deIormation oI their circular section.
The cable will be covered with cover plates laid along the cable, and with an orange
warning Ioil, 22 cm wide. AIter cable laying, geodesic surveying, sand Iilling
and protecting the trench will Iilled with compacted excavated earth. Excess earth
or other material will be transported to a dumb indicated by Client prior to starting
work.

UTP Cabling Horizontal Distribution
All the installed sockets and distribution Irames will be clearly labelled. All cables
will be installed in compliance with the installation guidelines oI the manuIacturer.
In the connection panels and in the data sockets, the cables will be terminated in
accordance with the EIA/TIA T568B chart.
The delivery includes RJ45 connection cords to connect up the active data elements.
Telephone loops will be switched using RJ45-RJ45 cords.
The horizontal links (non-system) will only consist oI three constituents (not to take
into account the socket cover and the RJ45 Patch Panel System itselI these include
the CAT5E RJ45 modules on the connection point side, a RJ45 block on the
distribution Irame side, an a 4-pair UTP cable.
The horizontal links (system) will consist oI Iive constituents CAT5E RJ45 modules
on the connecting point side, a RJ45 block on the distribution Irame side, a
ZWB box, a 4-pair UTP cable and a 25-pair cable.
The ZWB blocks will be Iitted directly on the suspension cable trough.
The cables in room Back Up must be up standard ISO IEC 332.3A (low smoke
zero halogen, Ilammability and Iire retardant)

The contractor will prepare descriptions on the side oI the socket and on the side
oI the distribution Irame, perIorm cable measurements and issue protocols containing
the parameter values obtained by the electronic measurement (length,
cross-talk attenuation, characteristic impedance, attenuation etc., as per ISO 1180
standard.
The delivery includes connection cords Cat5E RJ45-RJ45 to connect work stations
and connection /patch cables in all distribution boards (copper and Iibre cables).
UTP Cabling Backbone Distribution
The Cat5 50-pair backbone cables interconnect the Main en Secondary distribution
Frame. The cables must be up standard ISO IEC 332.3A (low smoke zero
halogen, Ilammability and Iire retardant).
In addition, 1x 100 pair cable will be used to connect the PBX distribution inIrastructure
with the TELECOM distribution system, i.e. there will be 100 pair to route
exchange lines and a pair oI 2Mbit cables to route the 2Mbit Ior ISDN 30.
The same principles as above will be adhered to in respect oI the remaining
points.
Optical Fibre Cabling
The secondary distribution Irame will be interconnected with the main distribution
Irame (MDF) via a 24 Iibre internal (single mode) SM 62/125um cable being up
standard ISO IEC 332.3A (low smoke zero halogen, Ilammability and Iire retardant).
SC connectors will be used to terminate the Iibres in the distribution Irames.
All Iibres in all cables will have connectors at their end, and all will terminate in the
optical-Iibre distribution panels.
The optical Iibres in the optical-Iibre distribution Irames will be terminated by the
method oI sticking to the SC connectors
Installation Cabinets
SchroIt installation cabinets are proposed Ior the delivery and installation oI the
19 racks. Among other products, SchroIt provides a complete series oI 19 instrument
racks which can be Iurnished with all accessories as may be required by
the user.
2 extra empty cabinets must be delivered in the main computer room and 1 extra
cabinet in the back up room.
The MDF distribution Irame will consist oI pair oI racks oI the 42 HE size, dimension
800x800 mm, IP40 cover. Secondary distribution Irames will consist oI a
separate 42 HE rack, dimension 800x800 mm, IP40 cover. Each rack has a handle
and a lock, a Iront door and back door, 4x 220V socket, Ians, withdrawer, a
support Irame and installation material (bolts and nuts).
The installation racks oI the MDF will be mechanically interconnected by means oI
a connecting Irame.
To control dangerous contact voltage, the racks will be interconnected using a
CY6 grounding wire and will be earthed to the closest power switchboard,
Value oI the connection maximum 1,7 Ohm.
InIormation data sockets
Sockets and twin sockets, both surIace and recessed, will be used Ior the installation.
Each socket will be Iitted with a Cat5E RJ45 module. The modules will be
connected in accordance with the EIA/TIA T568B scheme.
Maximum length at each cable 90 metre to distribution centre/patch panel .

Technical solution to the cabling
A 100 pair cable is proposed to conduct exchange lines to the PBX Irom the distribution
Irame. Two 2Mbit cables are planned to route the ISDN 30.
As to the DECT equipment, the cables will terminate straight in that equipment (i.e.
without RJ45). On the side oI the distribution Irame they will lead directly to the
PBX distribution system.

Cable mounting systems include:
- wire troughs
- cable troughs;
- cableways;
- ladder troughs;
- ladder ways;
- wall troughs;
- power columns.
Cable troughs and ladder ways must not be installed underneath the rooI bearing
construction oI the building, but always through or in between the bearing structure
so that the cable ducts and ladder ways will never be mounted lower than the bottom
oI the rooI-bearing constructions.
Cable troughs and ladder ways will be incorporated in the complex as integrated
systems; in the oIIices, mostly cable ducts will be used.
Systems that are intensively loaded by heavy Ieeder cables will be installed in ladder
ways, e.g. low-voltage areas, battery-charging room, etc..
- Troughs in warm DC Sendzimir-galvanised
- Troughs in Iresh DC and battery charging hot-dip galvanised.
- Troughs in Data communication rooms type 'wire trough
- All vertical cable troughs and ladder ways (in the halls as well as in the the
technical rooms) are to be provided with a cover.
Wall troughs Irom metal and power columns will be used mostly in the oIIices,
whereby wall troughs are preIerred, however, power columns will be installed
where spatial circumstances so require. Colour RAL9010.
Per workstation, the Iollowing basic requirements apply:
- 2 double wall sockets with earth bonding;
- 2 data communication connections;
- 1 telephone wall socket.
