REQUIREMENTS Tuggers and Sheaves Install a safety guard for the wire rope drum on the operators side of the man riding winch. Mud Pumps Replace the threaded connections on all highpressure mud lines with flanged, welded or hub type connections. Mud Pumps Reposition the high-pressure relief valve vent lines on pump number one, to ensure selfdraining capability (sloping down) to prevent blockage of the vent lines by solidified or gelled mud. The piping should be properly clamped and secured. Mud Pumps Adjust and test both safety relief valves every time liner sizes are being changed. Mud Gas Separator A pressure gauge with a range of 0-20 psi for the poor boy degasser that can be read from the driller's panel or at the remote choke control panel should be fitted and installed. Mud Mixing System All gratings on the mud pit must be tightened up and properly secured. Choke & Kill Manifold The threaded pressure gauge on the choke manifold to be secured with brackets and safety chains. Choke & Kill Manifold Schedule to replace all screwed fittings in this manifold with welded and flanged ones. Koomey Unit Install an air receiver of about 10 gallon capacity to the Koomey unit air supply, or two nitrogen bottles with a regulator and check valve to supply emergency air in the event of rig air loss. Koomey Unit Rectify the faulty annular regulator output pressure, to produce 3000psi. 2000psi was the maximum obtained Diesel Engines Install self-closing shut off valves for the fuel tank level indicator for the rig site diesel supply tanks. Diesel Engines Replace all diesel supply hoses that are not suitable for this purpose. The supply hoses on the day tank for camp and rig site is the regular air type hoses and is not fire resistant. Only fire and fual resistant hoses to be used on any diesel supply line.
