Objectives
Bloomsbury have asked WAI to provide a costing for creating www.starfighterbooks.com website which at present is only a competition page. The purpose of this site is to support the launch of the Starfighters book sets launching on 2012. Bloomsbury have 10 books to launch in 2012 in 3 sets of 3 and 1 for Christmas 2012 the site will aim to; o promote the books and aim to sell more o A fun backup to the printed books, a destination for fans of the books to go The books are going to be launched in the UK, Australia and the US. The UK launch will happen mid February 2012 but will be heroed in the book shops from the 1st Feb so the UK site or a landing page would ideally be launched for this time. Launch dates in the US and Aus are TBC. Bloomsbury want a countdown tool to appear on the sites which WAI would create as a Supadu APP

Overall we would be creating 3 sites for the required territories: o Starfigters will be launched in 3 countries. UK, Australia & US. o Initially we discussed a intergalactic hub page which led to each of the three territories sites, but due to the varied launch dates we think it would be better to launch each site separately by mirroring the sites. Game: o For launch we discussed having a space themed game and we recommend reskinning one of the following games from game engine provider Novel Games http://www.novelgames.com/flashgames/game.php?id=3 http://www.novelgames.com/flashgames/game.php?id=188 o We would look to utilise Like and Tweet me supadu apps on page to share, these options are low cost o We could look into integrating the sharing ability in the flash and high scores (this has not be costsed up in this budget we would suggest looking at this as a phase 2 when more budget is available) Countdown: o We will be creating a countdown app which will appear on the homepage. We recommend a javascript application so that it remains mobile and SEO friendly. The display would ideally be days, hours and seconds, but we recommend the countdown refreshes on page load so to keep the load time down on the page Newsletter: There are a number of ways we could deal with the newsletter sign up as basic forms. o Supadu form - emails a designated account or collects in CSV in Supadu o Mailchimp application - collects sign ups in designated MailChimp account (which should already exist and details provided by client)

Project Assumptions
We assume that all assets will be provided to WAI o o o WAI will be responsible for all design, build and stocking of the UK sites. WAI will set up all 3 sites and the countdown for the 3 sites. WAI assume that the local teams at Bloomsbury will be responsible for stocking the US and the Australia if content differs from UK once launched. WAI suggest providing some WEBEX training time to the local teams in US and Aus. When licensing the games through the novel gaming engine WAI will be responsible for the skinning and set up but the contract will be bwteen Bloomsbury and Novel games and Bloomsbury.
