INTERVIEW EXPERIENCE

Tests
The main key in attempting aptitude tests is practice. Do more and more questions. Each question is unique by itself. If we have properly attempted the question at least once, then we can very easily get it solved while attempting a test. You can make our own easy shortcuts or simple methods for each kind of questions. Also especially while attempting an aptitude test, never get panic when we are not able to solve any particular question because once we are in a tensed state of mind, its more difficult to crack an aptitude question than a technical question(MY OWN EXPERIENCE.. :)) . Coming to technical tests, C and digital electronics stuffs are the most frequently asked technical portions. Be well prepared in the basic funda in fields such as micro processors, digital electronics, basic transistor stuffs and rc circuits. These questions get repeated whatever be the field of the recruiting company. For objective tests, reduce the guessing as far as possible because first of all it increases the chance to get negative marking and secondly many companies have a habit of asking us the questions that we made wrong from the answer sheet during the interview. For subjective tests, never leave any question without attempting. This is because even if we dont know the solution of a particular question, if our approach is good enough, they can add to you r score as well as impress the interviewers. And also while answering the subjective questions, it should be clear and proper so that it wont cause any confusion to those who correct it.

Interviews
As far as interviews are concerned, I attempted interviews of lots of companies before I joined finally at Cypress. From my experience, the main thing that is to be kept in mind is that while facing an interview always maintain a calm and clear face and try not to show the panic or tension on your face. (which I really failed to do each and every interview) no matter however tensed we are or how much crucial the interview is. Maintain a pleasant face while facing the interview. And while answering be confident and clear. Always be prepared with a good self intro which can be properly modified depending on the profile of the company and the type of the interview(tech and HR). The interviewer should never feel as if u have studied it byheart. The main advantage of a good self intro is that one can guide the interview by properly

framing the sentences. You can make the interviewer ask questions related to the fields in which you are much strong such as your favourite subjects or projects by giving proper importance in the self intro. One should also be well-prepared about the company and its values, mission, vision etc. They can also ask many questions from the ppt as well(Kalki and all asked to me). We should also have a knowledge on what post the company is offering. For technical interviews they can cover almost all fields in a single round of interview. I had many interviews which lasted more than 1 hour and covered almost all important subjects covered in these 4yrs. We should be good especially in basics of the different important subjects. Should be well aware of the basics of following stuffs in interviews Digital Electronics o o o Setup time hold time etc Flipflops latches etc Digital design and various common combinational and sequential circuits as they are repeatedly asked

Vlsi o o CMOS stuffs, various functions using NMOS etc. Skew and jitter

Network Theory o o o Various common theories and related qns Resistor capacitor networks and their problems Transmission line theory

Signals and Systems o Z-transform,fourier analysis,tc

Control Systems o Laplace transforms, stability cases, pole-zero cases, etc

Micro electronics

o o

Opamp parameters and other basics of opamp Various configurations and circuits using opamp

Microcontrollers and processors o Mainly 8085 processor related qns and its comparisons with 8086and higher processors

There are several commonly asked questions like Why should we hire you? Why MEC? Where do you see yourself in next 5 years Why this company

So be prepared with some creative answers(need not be 100% true.. ;) ) for these questions. Another important thing is always be well prepared for all those things present in the resume. They can ask anything from the resume.

ALL THE BEST TO EVERYONE
