At Suncor Voyageur Project, managed the Quality Assurance Program, provided support and expertise in verifying through audit, surveillance and inspection that the engineering deliverables, site progress work of pile driving, concrete foundations, installation of underground utilities e.g., fire water, potable water mains & oily water sewer systems, earthwork backfilling and road works etc., meet or exceeds quality, safety and all relevant industry codes, standards, and regulations. Specific responsibilities were to; Review project turnover and handover documents submitted by various contractors. Review of quality control documentation, verification that results of measurements align with Project Quality requirements. 1/3

Conduct weekly progress meetings with contractors QC team and discuss updates on the status of NCRs, RFIs, FCNs etc. Approve Inspection and Test Plans, ensure ITP has proper witness & hold points. Ensure compliance with ISO 9001:2000, API/CSA/ACI/ASTM & other relevant industry codes and regulations as required, project standards, specifications are adhered to and all deviations are properly addressed. Ensure all quality control and inspection & test activities have been appropriately assigned and approved during Procurement/Contracts and Construction. Ensure adequacy and qualification of Contractor QC organization to guarantee construction meet or exceeds required minimum quality standards and applicable codes. Few of the major tasks at CNRL Horizon & MEG Energy Christina Lake Projects were: Field Inspection, Witness and Quality Control of Refractory Installation, Concrete Piles, Seal Pots, Sulphur Pit, Concrete Foundations, Stairs, Pads, Columns & Walls, Cementitious Grout & Epoxy Grout Bases, Fences, Building Structures, Fire Water Mains, Geotechnical Membrane, Earthwork Backfilling / Grading, Pressure/Hydro testing of pipes and Remedial Work of Concrete & Grout pours. QC Inspector, General Responsibilities were to; Perform timely inspections and provide supervision to ensure compliance to project standards, specifications, drawings and code(s) are met. Investigate failures and develop Root Cause Analysis, lead Corrective Action for quality issues. Prepare and implement inspection and test plans, ensure ITP adherence for witness & hold points and maintain the QA/QC files. Planning & instigating internal and external quality and regulatory audits. Assist with providing solutions & Implementation of Quality Plan, Non Conformances (NCRs), Corrective & Preventive action management processes. Assist with orientations of new personnel.
