Omaha-based Lund-Ross specializes in historical renovations and has participated in many award-win-
ning residential projects. The company is celebrating its 20th anniversary this year.

onstruction company Lund-Ross – based in Omaha,
Neb. – celebrates its 20th anniversary this year.
“With so many large contractors in [our] market, we
are very proud to have been in business for 20 years,”
says Michael Bird, director of business development.
When the company was founded, it mainly performed
renovations of historic buildings, but in the last 20 years, it
expanded its services to include commercial, industrial and
public facility work. Its projects range in size from $100,000
to $20 million. “We are fortunate to have had the opportu-
nity to be a part of so many special jobs over the past 20
years,” Bird says.

The 80-unit project includes amenities such as land-
scaped green space, an attached two-car garage, balcony,
private roof deck, wood frame construction with brick ve-
neer, concrete block party walls with interior insulation, as
well as energy-efficient features such as a 50-gallon hot water
heater and highly efficient gas-fired furnace. Phases I and
II of the project, worth $19 million, were completed in
November 2006 and Phase III will begin this fall. This was
the third consecutive year that a Lund-Ross project was
given the ABC recognition.
The company was also recognized for The Paxton, a
condominium and penthouse development, by Down-
town Omaha Inc. Lund-Ross renovated the 1928 hotel
back to its original Art Deco style. The development pre-
serves the historic elements of the original building and
also has a private fitness center, ballroom, home theater
for private use, rooftop deck and state-of-the-art security
and video monitoring. This $12 million project was com-
pleted in July.
