DAY 3 MANILA-CEBU (Breakfast and lunch provided)

After breakfast at your hotel, you will be picked up for your transfer to the domestic airport for your flight to Cebu. Upon your arrival in Cebu, you will be picked up by our representative for a whole day Cebu-Mactan Twin City Tour. The Tour: Ferdinand Magellan came to Cebu in April 1521, claiming it for King Phillip of Spain and planting a cross to symbolize its Christianization. Experience his world as you join us on a journey through time. Our first stop in Mactan Island is the Liberty Shrine, erected on the battlefield where Magellan met his defeat at the hands of the chieftain of Mactan, Datu Lapu-Lapu. Today, a larger-than-life statue of Lapu-Lapu towers over mangroves on the very shores of his triumphant battle. Next, we will visit the Church of our Lady of the Rule, a national shrine visited by many who attribute Mactans economic success to her devotion. Our final stop is the Alegre Guitar Factory to see the production process of renowned Philippine guitars. Cross over to Cebu Island through the industrial city of Mandaue, where many world-class furniture factories are found. You will be having lunch at a local Filipino restaurant. After lunch, you will visit the Cebu Taoist Temple, located in Beverly Hills Subdivision. It was built by Cebus substantial Chinese community. With an elevation of 300 meters above sea level, the temple is a towering, multi-tiered, multi-hued attraction accessible by three separate winding routes. The next stop of our tour is Cebus icon, Magellans Cross. Proceeding to the Basilica Minore of the Christ Child, we will see the home of the image of Jesus as a child, Magellans baptismal gift to Queen Juana, the first Christian Filipina. Next, we will travel to Fort San Pedro, a coral stone fortress originating from the original wooden structure built on the site in 1565. As protection to the city, it became the first Spanish settlement in Asia. As we drive to Plaza Parian via the countrys oldest street (Colon Street), we will stop over at Yap-San Diego Ancestral House. This museum showcases the elegant lifestyle of the Chinese/Spanish/Filipino elite of the 18th century. We end the tour of Cebu with a visit to Museo sa Sugbu before returning to the hotel.

DAY 4 CEBU-BOHOL (Breakfast and lunch provided)

After breakfast at your hotel, there will be an early pick up for a whole day Bohol Countryside Tour. The Tour: Experience a day of scenic grandeur beginning with a 90-minute ferry ride to Tagbilaran, Bohol Islands capital city and an eco-tourism destination. Upon arrival, begin your tour of the Bohol Countryside. During the tour, you will pass by a variety of sights and landmarks such as the Blood Compact Monument, a man-made Mahogany Forest, a Nipa Palm Village, the 15th Century Baclayon Church & Museum, and a serenely scenic river by the town of Loboc. Cruise up the river while you eat lunch on a local floating restaurant. Be entertained by a guitar duo who will serenade you with local folksongs and international pop music. Take time to enjoy a unique encounter with the worlds smallest primate - the Tarsier. Then, travel to Carmen to marvel at the famed Chocolate Hills, a thousand or more uniformly-shaped hills that turn brown during summer, resembling chocolate mounds. Be sure to check out the splendid vista from the viewpoint on top of one of the highest of these hills. In your free time, walk around the small stalls or take home a souvenir.
