PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE Sr. Manager - U.S. Distribution, Samsung Telecommunications America Nov 2008 - Present Responsible for two distribution centers; one focused on packaging new cell phon es/accessories and distributing to regional carriers, the second focused on repa ir of warranty cell phones. Delivered a significant impact to operational effic iency in a very short timeframe by introducing structure and discipline within e ach distribution operation. Lead a team of 104 employees. Responsible for over $180M inventory. Director Logistics Services, Verizon Communications Jan 2007 - Sept 2008 Oversight responsibility for a $3 Billion Supply Chain operation. Created and ma naged a $100+ million expense budget. Responsible for the development of new pr ocesses and procedures, training, employee development, quality control, and pro ject management. Led a staff team of 63 employees. Developed a quality managem ent program which enforced ISO 9000 standards throughout the supply chain. This team also identified Sarbanes-Oxley key controls within the organization, wrote work instructions that would properly manage the key controls, and audited fiel d employees on compliance to these controls. Coordinated the training of 900+ employees for an SAP implementation in the eastern half of the supply chain. Manager - SAP Implementation, Verizon Communications 2006 Lead systems team in the implementation of SAP R/3. This team, consisting of lo gistics, purchasing, and systems professionals, was tasked with replacing legacy mainframe systems throughout the nationwide supply chain. The implementation w as on a massive scale, replacing functionality consisting of purchasing, invento ry management, transportation, warehousing, invoicing, and customer service. Th is project also required successfully integrating the SAP R/3 system with custom er engineering and procurement interfaces. Direct business requirements, syste m design, testing, training and roll out of the solution. Lead a cross-functiona l team to design reverse logistics program associated with returns of video set top boxes from customer homes to centralized refurbishment center. Manager - Field Inventory, Verizon Communications 2005 - 2006 Directed a field inventory management program, responsible for maintaining inven tory in 84 locations in 7 states. Working in conjunction with customer purchasi ng teams, developed an oversight process that scrutinized purchases throughout t hese locations, lowering overall major material inventory value from $28M to $22 M within 9 months. Created guidelines around transfer, substitution and standar dization that allowed the team to manage fewer SKU's while consistently keeping line item availability above 98%. Manager - Midwest Regional Operations, Verizon Communications 2004 - 2005 Lead the warehousing, distribution, transportation, quality and customer service operations in Verizon's Midwest region. The operation included 5 state-based d istribution centers (total 400k+ sq ft) and several hundred customer locations. The operation won the Region of the Year award in 2005, finishing first of thirt een regions in key performance measures relating to financial results, operation al efficiency, quality, and customer service. Reduced annual operating budget by $400k by streamlining warehouse operations, optimizing delivery routes and elim inating non-value added activities. Developed a supervisor 'Boot Camp' program that became a vehicle to train high potential management employees on field ope rations, customer service and quality. Manager - North East Regional Distribution Center, Verizon Communications 2003 - 2004 Responsible for the daily operation of a 300k+ sq ft warehouse facility in Massa chusetts. Managed the daily receipt, put away, picking, packaging and shipping

of materials for the entire New England region. Responsible for $7M+ expense bu dget. Primary responsibility for customer support and process engineering. Senior Staff Consultant - Business Solutions, Verizon Communications 2001 - 2002 Competed for and won a project for which I designed, developed, and implemented a materials management system for Verizon's North East supply chain operation. A n enormous business problem existed where invisibility of material was wasting v aluable labor and purchasing dollars. Abolished 13 warehouses of slow-moving ma terial. Eliminated inefficiencies/delays in the operation due to material shorta ges, and a lack of ability to use surplus material. Over the course of three yea rs I successfully implemented 5 phases of the project that netted an annual savi ngs of $14M to the customers' labor, warehousing and material expenses. For th is effort, my team and I received the highest award in Verizon, the Excellence a ward, 2 years in a row. Senior Staff Consultant - Business Development and Support, Verizon Communicatio ns 1997 - 2000 Primary responsibility was to work with commercial sales team to close major cus tomer deals involving 3rd Party Logistics services.
