The plant was only the t hird facility in the State of Missouri to receive QS-9000 Certification. Responsible for receiving, in-process, and outgoing quality audits, gage evaluat ion, system auditing, and Advanced Quality Planning. Work closely with Engineering, customers, and subcontractors concerning raw mate rials and their requirements, including material specifications, and evaluations of such processes as casting, heat treating, coiling, coating, machining, metal

stamping, and metal spraying. In December 1986 after the closing of the facility in O'Fallon, I transferred to the manufacturing plant in Maryland Heights, MO, as Quality Control Manager. B esides working with customers and suppliers I worked on a project for the Presid ent of the Division using our plant as a pilot to change the manufacturing proce ss over to using Statistical Process Control. This included using SPC for the bl ow molding of plastic bottles and high speed composite can making operations. I also incorporated SPC into Maintenance, Shipping, Receiving and Personnel Recor ds. May 1975 - July 1977 Perfection Manufacturing, Innovex Division 4236 Clayton Av e. St. Louis, MO 63110 Business: Manufacture exercise bikes for home use. Quality Control Manager Responsible for establishing and maintaining a complete Quality Control program for the largest manufacturer of exercise bikes in the world. This included final quality responsibility for design, tooling, fabrication, assembly, inspection, packaging, storage and shipping. I supervised Receiving Inspection, Final Inspec tion, Audits, Tooling Verification, and Returned Goods Inspection. My position also required liaison with Engineering, Plant Supervisors, Productio n Control, Purchasing, Suppliers, Sales, Customers, and Plant Personnel. During this time I spent three months in Los Angeles as the Quality Liaison w ith the project's principle subcontractor. I then was assigned to be Chairman of the Material Review Board. In this capaci ty my responsibilities included making disposition on all rejected purchased mat erial and all rejected manufactured parts. Dispositions were determined with inp ut from Methods Engineering, Production Supervisors, Inspection, Inspection Plan ning, Design Engineering, Procurement, and suppliers to prevent recurrence of th e discrepancies.
