Simply Burst

This ladies hat is quite simple to make with basic crochet stitches and the beginner crocheter in mind.

Materials: 1 skein of any worsted weight yarn G (4.25mm) hook Yarn needle Scissors

Abbreviations: ch= chain dc= double crochet dc2tog= double crochet 2 together (yarn over, insert into stitch, pull through, yarn over, pull through 2 loops, yarn over, insert into next stitch, pull through, yarn over, pull through 2 loops, yarn over, pull through remaining 3 loops) sl st= slip stitch st= stitch yo= yarn over

Row 1: Make a magic ring. Dc 12 stitches into ring. Join with a sl st. (12 st total) (Note: there are many tutorials and videos on the internet for magic ring.) Row 2: ch 3, dc in the same st, *2 dc in each st around,* join with a sl st (24 st total)
