PLACEMENT POLICY 2010-2012

CENTRE FOR CORPORATE RELATIONS The Centre for Corporate Relationship (CCR) has been setup with an objective of bringing the industry and academia close together. Placement policy of NIILM-CMS Centre for Corporate Relations reflects the longterm strategy and the overall image and standing of the Institute. This centre of excellence helps students by organizing counselling sessions for them to choose an appropriate career depending on their aptitude and interest. It also provides help to the students, to find summer internship and final placements. They closely work with the CCR in securing good placement for the batch and it is entirely managed by the students under the guidance of placement & Corporate Relations Cell.

Placement-Code of Conduct
1. The complete responsibility of placement is on the students, Centre for Corporate Relations (CCR) being only the facilitator.

2. At the commencement of the session. The member of the student placement committee would be selected. The interested students would be required to make a pitch stating the details so as to define Why he/she should be a member of the placement committee? Then, amongst the volunteers the best 10 would be nominated as placement coordinators who would be assigned major responsibilities and would be accountable to PLACEMENT CELL/ CORPORATE RESOURCE CENTRE. These team leaders would be completely responsible for non-performance of activities or not meeting deadlines.

3. Participation of entire batch of PGDM 2010-12, 2011-2013 in the placement activities is required. Any student found abstaining from the placement activities would become ineligible for campus placement and he/she would not be given any recruitment facilitation under any circumstances.

4. Minimum of 06 chances will be given to all individual students for placement. After that when 100 students are placed then further opportunities will be given to the students who availed 06 chances and are not yet placed.

5. If a student back out after registering for any company and do not appear for interview for any reason whatsoever, his/her one chance will be gone. If this repeats more than twice then it shall be assumed that they are looking for their own opportunities for placements.

6. The students must accept the offer of the company after selection. In case of non acceptance of the same by the concerned student, the institute shall hold no responsibility of his/her further placement whatsoever may be the case and he will be out of placement.

7. All the unplaced students are required to attend the PPT without fail at the time of placement.

8. Students are required to submit a copy of offer letter in the placement cell.

9. The student should be dressed in formals at the time of PPT and interview.

10.Placement Committee comprising of 10 students has been formed as per the students votes. All students must respect and listen to the committee members and co-operate with them.

11.All 1st year Students will be provided summer placement assistance. It would be mandatory for the student to join the company once selected for placement or they will not be assisted for placement at the final Placement time.

12. The Verbal/written offer received first is mandatory to be accepted, and the student concerned will not be considered for any other interview.

13.Project Results (Summer Internship) will be submitted in the program office through the Placement cell after the submission of necessary documents by the students.

14.All the students are required to participate in Mock GD & Personal interviews before the actual Final Placements & Summer Internship.

15.Punctuality of students is must at the time of PPT/GD/Personal interviews.

16.In case selected students of the Placement Cell is not taking interest in the Placement Functions and a complaints is received from other students of the batch then that student will be removed from Placement Committee and a suitable student shall replace him/her and the removed student will be out of Placement automatically.

17.Registration for final Placement by the students is a must and also they have to accept and sign the code of conduct and Placement Policy by due date, if they want the college to assist them for jobs.

18.Once selected in the job of 4 Lacs and above they will enter the placed list & will not provided with any more assistance or else 2 offers will be given per student.

19.It is the responsibility of the candidate individually to know & verify about the company details before appearing for any interview.

Conclusion:

These placement guidelines though comprehensive are not exhaustive. All faculties, Staff and Student must provide necessary co-operation and support to make the institutes placement a grand success. In case of any doubt/ discrepancy, ruling of the president shall be binding to all.
