Enjoying Hardata Dinesat Radio You have installed Hardata Dinesat Radio, and now you are a double-click away from the most interesting experience in automation systems.

Hardata Dinesat RadioSetup Wizard will guide you through the installation steps in your workstation, selecting the language and audio mode- Direct Sound for SoundBlaster, or Wave for Audioscience, Antex or Digigram cards-.

Now you are watching a classic Dinesat screen. The main window with the buttons to go to other windows and functions can be distinguished there.

Press the time button and you will listen to the current time announced by an announcer!

< InstantPlay window displays an audio file list from which you can pick a title to play instantly out, just with a click!

Press the F1 key to listen to Welcome to Dinesat. Press the Function keys to shoot the respective files!

And Titles window, where all audio material recorded in your workstation and in all positions connected to the audio network can be accessed.

Use the Category Combo Box to browse through all categories installed in you local audio server, and double-click on a title or press Play button to listen to it.

You will be amazed when you experience AutoPlay, listening to music, artistic and commercials played back and cross faded automatically, and creating programming that will sound like a live production.

Press Autoplay button in Air 1 window to start automatic operation.

You will see how Hardata Dinesat Radio plays back the scheduled commercial block in Air 1, then changes to play back music in Air 2, and when it is time for the following commercial block, it resumes Air 1 window playback.

This is one of the automatic modes Hardata Dinesat Radio controls. For further information about the other modes check the Help file included in the system.

You will see two indicators in Air windows: The red one indicates the current title on the air, whereas the green one displays the next title to be played out.

While it is stopped, you can change the first title by double-clicking on the title you want to select. While playing back you can change the following title by changing the green indicator and selecting the next file to be played out.

In manual operation, start playback by pressing the Play button. Playback will finish at the current block end. You will see two Play buttons: Green (Play) and Red (Cue). The difference is that the red button (Cue) only plays back 50% or no more than 30 seconds of the title. There is no record of this action left in the audit system, and it is used only for previous listenings.

You can stop playback instantly by pressing the Stop button or you can press Play and stop at the end of the title to play back titles one by one.

Or you can press the FadeOut button to fade on the current fade and stop playback.

You will see a song and separator list randomly generated following a preset format in Air 2 window. This format can be easily changed by pressing the Menu button. Press the Play button in Air 2 window and you will see that it has changed to a new symbol: the Xfade button. While playing back a title, you can go to the following with a crossfade by pressing the Xfade button.

While playing back you can fade over a song to insert a live voice by pressing the TalkOver button. You will hear that the song level will be turned down softly to a pre-set level, so that the announcer can talk over it. To resume the original level, press the TalkOver button again.

If you want to insert a recording over a song, select the InstantPlay window with a click on it and then press the PlayOver button. You will hear that the song fades out, the selected recording is played back, and the song resumes its original level.

Press the time button and the time will be announced over the song.
