Description
Our ideal Enterprise Architect is a strong technical leader with in-depth and extensive expertise in a broad discipline of systems and technologies, including, but not limited to: database management and access; operating systems management and monitoring; server, network and storage architectures, software engineering with various programming languages, methods, and orientations; data design, management and governance principles; Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) and other architectural orientations; and, process modeling and engineering. The Enterprise Architect will leverage their expertise to specify the high-level architecture, design, technology and

standards for an Enterprise. The Enterprise Architect will collaborate with project stakeholders to build systems to enable the integration of Enterprise and Line of Business information and business processes. The Enterprise Architect will have a background in Datacenter disciplines and enterprise service management. Familiarity with ITIL is a plus. The Enterprise Architect will apply his or her knowledge of open standards, software development, technology, and architectural patterns to develop solutions that satisfy customer requirements aligned with the time and cost aspects of the project. The Enterprise Architect will provide strategic technical direction for system integration efforts and serve as an evangelist of the architectural vision, strategy, and principles to internal staff, customers, analysts, and leadership. Other areas of responsibility include the following: 1. 2. Technology Oversight: Maintain an ongoing awareness of emerging developments and trends in technology that could impact current projects and influence new projects. Vendor Tool Analysis: Lead evaluation of software vendors targeted for possible integration into the systems or environment, including strategic applications, tools, and utilities. Provide oversight and guidance of new product initiatives ensuring adherence to architectural principles. Evangelism: Create and deliver detailed technical presentations of architectural vision, strategy, and principles to staff, customers, analysts, and leadership. High-level technical consultation with and mentoring of development staff. Architecture Implementation: Plan and implement technical Enterprise Architecture, including both short and long term strategies for maintaining, integrating or retiring existing systems, and implementing new systems. Refine, document, and communicate architectural objectives. Customer Technical Resource: Serve as the technical resource and reference for customer integrations, help define appropriate customer support responses, and work directly with customers on high-level issues.

Requirements
Minimum Qualifications: Experience architecting enterprise solutions including storage, servers, software and networks dealing with enterprise level issues and service management. Experience with Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) Exemplary general IT knowledge (applications development, testing, deployment, operations, documentation, standards, best practices, security, hardware, networking, operating systems, DBMS, middleware, etc.) Expertise and experience in lightweight, rapid development, agile methodologies Experience interacting with legacy systems and phased application integration Attention to detail Ability to work as a team member and leader in a diverse technical environment Extensive knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle and software engineering principles Must possess effective verbal and written communication skills Able to work independently with minimal supervision Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or related field Must be a U.S. Citizen; Active DoD Secret Clearance Preferred Qualifications: Operating Systems: Solaris, Linux, Windows Server 2003 & 2008 Networking: TCP/IP, routing protocols, security protocols Storage: Fibre Channel, CIFS, NFS Java: Servlets, JSP, JSF, EJB, JMS, Spring, Beans, JSR-168, JNDI Java Middleware: JMS, Apache Tomcat, Glassfish, Weblogic, Websphere, JBoss Web Development: HTML 5, CSS 3, AJAX, Object-oriented JavaScript (EXT-JS, DOJO, JQuery), Debugging (Firebug), OZONE Widget Framework Web Services: SOAP, REST, XML (DOM, SAX, XSL, XSD), WSDL, WS-Security, WS-Signature, WS-*
