People & Organizations are an important and essential element of the management study. They are the elements on which the foundations of any management study and theory lie upon. The effective management of these resources is vital for the success of any business and business activity. Due to trends, cultural and economic changes, various challenges exist and their political and business analysis is very important for individual entering or managing themselves in the corporate world. This course outlines today's major challenges facing the management profession and uses interactive exercises and problems to develop critical skills in negotiations, teamwork and leadership. It also analyzes past and current organization practices and behavior. It also introduces concepts and tools to analyze work and leadership experiences in optional fieldwork projects. Course Objectives: The Objectives of this course are

To understand the dynamics of Organizations due to continuing rapid globalization and the emergence of new trends and techniques. To make students develop essential human skills needed for effective functioning in the organization, understand the challenges, culture and processes. To provide an understanding of the human and organizational contexts in which you will be working and the skills you will need to be productive and successful in the initial stages of your career. To explore how to put the scientific, technical and organizational knowledge learned to work in addressing the major challenges facing management and organizations today

Learning Outcomes: A combination of techniques will be used to facilitate learning about people and organizations. First, we will be reading material from both the assigned bookwhich includes a compilation of readingsand additional outside resources (e.g., articles). Second, we will engage in dynamic discussions to further facilitate your understanding of the reading material. exercises. Fourth, you will complete two written assignments and one presentation to help you clarify your understanding of the material.

Throughout the course you will be challenged to compare the material we cover to your personal experiences and to ask yourself what would I do as a leader?

Overview and Introduction to Organization and its management concepts as well as application of these concepts in real business world. Strategizing and Scenario Analysis

To develop basic oral presentation skills, analytical thinking and creativity while working in teams Teaching Methodology: As an MBA course, the course conduct methodology is divided into the following: Lecture Case discussions/ Article reviews Case Study Project Group/ Individual presentation As per the Goal and objectives mentioned before, the course is dynamic in nature, therefore: The students will be given a main project. Theory and the relevant concepts will be discussed prior to the case analysis. The assessment will be based on the presentation of the case analyzed, project, quizzes, assignments, midterm and final exams. The nature of the project will be: Market based and Industrial based Through the project the students will learn and develop problem solving skills. As the project is divided into modules, the Breadth and Depth of the course will be integrated, that is --- the course contents.

In addition to the topics mentioned in the course outline, relevant international Case Studies as well as articles from HBR will be used to further explain the concepts and relate them to real business world. Attendance: Minimum 80% attendance at lecture and presentations/seminars/discussions is required. This is student responsibility to follow up on what they may have missed through absence from a teaching session through interaction with fellow students who attended the class. Late Submission: In keeping with standards of professionalism appropriate to management studies, it is expected that deadlines will be honored. In fairness to course members who complete on time, work submitted after the due date will incur a penalty.
