EXECUTIVE SUMMARY:
Today the world is defined by the term 'Information Age.' All businesses, both large and small, require effective and efficient business technology solutions in order to continuously meet their target market i.e. farmers expectations and attain a competitive advantage, and therefore are successful. The EARTH SAVER COMPANY started with agriculture related equipments in the rural areas of southern & northern areas of Punjab. The Mission Statement Is we provide our farmers of rural areas of Pakistan the easiest way of cutting crops with minimum cost. Earth Saver company has a great opportunity to maximize market share in Pakistan. The technology provided by earth saver is the latest and modern way of dealing with the cutting of crops. It provides the economical solution to the farmers during harvesting season. This equipment is easy to use and a single person can use it with optimum resources. The farmers can save lot of time by using this product and they can save your money as well. The farmers can use it for multiple cutting of crops by just altering the blade of the machine e.g wheat, rice, corns and forages etc.

WEAKNESS:

It involves a stamina and physical coordination. It also produces smoke which is harmful to health. A limited market budget to develop brand awareness. The product lacks brand equity.

OPPORTUNITIES:

To achieve a maximum market share in the agricultural field. Growing market with a significant percentage of the target market still not aware that CROP RIPPER exists. Our competitor provide product which can perform single task but our product can do multiple task. The ability to develop long term commercial contracts with supplier which will result in lower cost. It can cut many things like crops, rice, corn and many more.

THREATS:
Increase in the fuel prices day by day Involvement of more competitors Increase in import duties imposed by government Increase in the product price by producer which will result in retail price increase.

COMPANY OBJECTIVES:
We want to introduce CROP RIPER to rural areas especially in northern & southern Punjab of Pakistan by the end of year 2010. Our target market is the farmers who do not have enough money to utilize heavy harvesting machinery & enough labour in order to cut crops especially in harvesting season where they do not get cutting machinery even on rent.

We want to provide ultimate best solution in the form of CROP RIPER where farmers can cut their crops with single hand at very low cost without involving labour at any stage.

MARKETING OBJECTIVES:
Our Marketing Objective is to spend 3 million on the promotional activities through electronic media and Punchait system by the end of April this year. We are also involving different distributors who are already supplying agricultural products to farmers in rural areas of Pakistan. We want to generate brand equity at the farmers market. We want to maintain positive, steady growth each month. We want to experience an increase in new customers who are turned into long-term customers.

FINANCIAL OBJECTIVES:
We want to realize a 3% increase in gross profit margins through efficiency gains every year. We wish to reduce import / transportation costs associated with product delivery by 5% by the end of the first year.

MARKETING MIX:
PRODUCT:
We are producing a product which can be used for cutting almost all types of crops. CROP RIPPER is the ultimate solution.

PRICE:

We are providing a product which is economical for poor farmers who cannot engage heavy harvesting machinery as well as labour. At the moment we are offering this product in PKR 19,000 only. Further our intention is to reduce import / transportation costs by 5% which will help us to provide this product at cheaper rates.

PLACEMENT:
We are making available our product to the farmers by visiting them personally. Our technical team makes daily visits and gives them demo. They provide all kind of assistance to farmers when it comes to product knowledge, technicalities as well as use of product in safe way. We are involving different distributors who are already supplying agricultural products to farmers in rural areas of Pakistan. We are also making our product available on KISAN DOST centres which are dealing in seeds, pesticides, Urea and sprays.

PROMOTION:
We are using electronic media like PTV, ATV & Cable TV in order to promote our product. We are arranging demonstrations in rural areas in order to show benefits of the product. We are delivering pamphlets in the rural areas showing product knowledge and benefits, so more and more people should have knowledge about the product. We are also offering discounts on the purchase of bulk.

Promotional budget:
For the promotional activities of our product we will spend 0.5 million. This will help us to promote our product in all over the Pakistan.

SEGMENTATION:
Our product is related to agricultural field and our main focus is towards farmers.

TARGETING:
We are targeting all those farmers who are not financially sound. They do not have enough money to purchase heavy harvesting machinery as well as they cannot hire labour in order to cut the crops. With the help of CROP RIPPER, a farmer can cut his crop by himself in a very short time and at very low cost.

POSITONING:
The CROP RIPPER will position itself in the mind of the customer as:

HOW TO USE

Cover eyes and nose during operation. Use tight fitting clothes during operation. Use specific blade according to crops. Keep the visitors 20 feet away during cutting. Do not smoke and eat during operation. Operate in open area.

POLITICAL:

It is a product which is affected by political forces. Some of them are explained bellow. Most of or farmers are poor and belong to rural areas where feudal system resists technological changes in their area. Feudalists do not want to empower the farmers. Most of our competitors belongs to political parties they resist the new changes in the field of farmers. Because of our politicians involvement in the field of customs, agriculture related products are charged with high customs.

SOCIAL:

Contribute more in the field of agriculture. This is a product which produces less sound then of other related products. By using our product more farmers can cut their crops at same time without waiting for their turn. Rapid measurement, save time. Non destructive. This technology reduce the injures in cutting especially while cutting wheat. Less wastage of crops than typical methods of cutting the crop.

Technological;

This is the tremendous innovation in field of technology. Crop riper is the core product of technology. Equipping farmers with new technology in harvesting of crops with innovation. It is a technology which is easy to handle and easy to operate. This technology reduce the injuries in cutting especially while cutting wheat.

The Market analysis;


We are the initiator of this product. We are the only importer in Pakistan of this product. Currently we have no competitors in current scenario. There is huge opportunity in Pakistan in the field of farming

As Pakistan is an agricultural country there is a huge opportunity for our product to expand its market share.

MARKET TRENDS:

This is the latest product in agricultural field so now there is no chance of change its market trend. There is chance in future to change in market trend due to new innovation by our competitors. Market trend of our product is cumulative. Our product is trend setter.

IMPLEMENTATION:

We are using electronic media like PTV, ATV & Cable TV in order to promote our product. We will spend 0.5 million in promotion of our product. We will promote our product especially at the time of 7pm to 9pm in the evening and 7am to 8 am in the morning. Our add will be shown in the month of April, May, Nov & December.

Control:
Controlling is necessary for the success of any company.

We will strongly focus on the control of all factors that are affecting on our product. We will use feed forward method instead of feedback method. We measure actual performance on quarterly bases because if we find any error then we are able to remove that error.
